I'm on colofac too, and it helps a bit. But I tell you what does really help me, peppermint cordial. It seems to settle it down! I was given this when I was in hospital after an operation once as I had bad wind, and it really did help. It might not work for you, but worth a try eh?

Hope you have a peaceful day Rubberman x

hi rubberman me to , just sit and smile and blaim tone of the dogs , that always works . people tend to say but the dogs are at home . all my family and freinds now so just agree

I have the same problem Rubberman, those 2 words strike fear into me ! ( IBS and Fibro ) . I'm also unable to take mint in any form so the most common treatments used for IBS I can't have :(

Wind is better out than in though, and actually trying to keep it in can cause bloating , pain and cause it to become trapped... So let it out, smile sweetly and blame the dog. I do !

IBS is the pits. Has anyone tried altering their diet as well as taking the meds?? I had loads of problems years ago until I was put on a wheat free diet although I can eat wheat products now in moderation without too much problem. Also found that foods like apples and tomatoes affect you worse if you eat with the skins on. Anything is worth a try when you are suffering.

Hope the kites were flying high! xx
