Any one get chest pain?

Hi, Ive started to experience chest pains and breathlessness when going uphill. Does anyone else??? I am 58ys old and have had fybro for too long to remember! I am carrying too much weight but at least three of my meds contribute to this,plus I`m not fit enough to run round a gym although I do walk to work every day. Any one help?

hey lizzy i do experiance chest pain but nt nessasarly when goin uphill i get it at random times i persnally would get it checked out by a gp on a emergancy appointment as mine radiates from my teeth to my chest it will probablly be ok and due to fibro but you can never be too carful

Thanks Lynn, I did try to get an appointment to see my GP but there were none left 5 minutes after they opened! I`m so fed up of going and moaning,.It will be after work on Monday before I can go now but I will keep you posted!

yes i get chest pain and im 58 as well. but not nesasarily going up a hill .....i get in bed or lying on my back or if ive done something i shouldnt have, like brushing up....see yr g.p on monday to get it checked out...best wishes.xx

yes started few weeks ago had it 3x in total i was terrified at 1st thought something was really wrong never told anyone then came on here and saw it was quite common so that put my mind at rest but if your not sure or it persists please go to your GP and get it checked out love diddle x

yes..i put the same question on here last week..my friends phoned an ambulance it was that bad but they said it was my fibro...but get checked out .luv xxxxxx

been taken to a and e 3 times with suspected heart attack, all turned out to be muscle spasm, don't panic quite as much now when it happens but you should get it checked out. Mine goes down my arm and I have sweats its really horrible and scarey. xxxx

Hi all,

Well I finally got an appiontment with the dr (one who doesnt know me) and it was horrendous. She riddiculed the fact that I had 3 things written down to discuss "do you save everything up then come here?" Told me that based on the fact that i was describing other pain (which she never looked at) she was confident there was nothing wrong with my heart and the breathlessness was just due to low stamina. I had to suggest she take some bloods and refer me to the chest clinic, which she did with obvious disdane. I came out wanting to cry! Feeling like a moaner who just wasted her valuable time. She also said my meds dont cause weight gain (citalapram, gabapentin and others I cant remember the name of right now. SO.....now I wait for another appiontment. Meanwhile I will go to A&E if things get any worse and be blowed. Thank you for all the advice and help. Much appreciated. Lizzy xxx

Hello again,

My chest clinic appiontment came today..... JULY !!! One can only guess at the comments the dr must have put on, obviously not to be taken seriously anyway. I do get so very tired of feeling rough and being treated like rubbish. Sorry for the moan but I know only you will understand how I feel.Not feeling my best today. love to all. Lizz yxxx
