my fingers are stiff but i can feel them swelling up as well now is this a fm sympton? i do have raised esr levels and have to do another blood test next week to check to see if this is something else lurking but was interested if other sufferes have this as well?

hi angie ye my fingers r always painfull and i have to take my rings off at nite coz they swell most at nite .xxx

Hi Angie,

I have very painful fingers and have to make a fist a few times every morning before they are less painful and work a bit. I have osteoarthritis, I have the bumps on my knuckles. I blame that for my pain there.

Fibro is invisible - there are no outward signs. You need to find out the reason for the swelling - it could be another condition, it could be caused by meds, it could even be caused by too much typing. Have a chat with your GP - you need to know what is causing the swelling. I have osteoarthritis in both hands which causes pain and sometimes swelling. I had to have my rings cut off and made bigger - but I had put on a lot of weight due to the meds as well.
