heart palpertations

not sure if its cos of fibro but i do have an extra heart beat but also skips a beat which makes me dizzy shows up on the ecg or is it eeg lol fibrofob again! dr said nothing to worry about but wondered if this was due to fibro have had this for a few years now

she wanted to put me on beta blockers but cos i have asthma as well i cant have them

It says on Wikipedia, that palpitations are symptoms of FMS, I have had them for years x

Hi Lisa -MarieB; yes palpitations are symptoms of FMS i use to have them quite often and because i was not yet diagnosed i had no idea what was happening to me. many times i ended up down the doctors surgery or the hospital having to have an ECG done but always never found anything. FMS is such a complicated thing as it has so many symptoms. one symptom i have which i really do hate are the muscle spasms. At one point i was having it in my neck and down my shoulder on one side i had never been in so much pain. i'm quite a tough cookie but that got me screaming like a banshee. now i get them in my right leg as i walk and also in my groin. the thing is we tend to look really good on the outside but if they could only see what we are feeling they would understand what we are going through.

I get really scared by my palpitations I have to say . I get the skipped heart beat too , racing heart and dizzy spells. Doctors can't find any reason for it and like they told you, they tell me I don't need to worry . Easy for them to say !

I'm not taking any meds that could cause it and it doesn't show up on an ECG . Blood pressure is normal so I guess it is down to the Fibro.

I get these as well it was because of my medication i ended up in hospital with mine
