hip pain!

ive been having pain in my hip for a while now but today is getting worse only on my right side so painful to touch as well but on a good note last day of work for this week!

I have constant pain in both my hips Angie, it drives me mad. Turning over in bed wakes me up cos it hurts when I do. I just take painkillers but they don't really help much.

My last day of work for this week is tomorrow

hope the pain in your hips eases. it's a horrible pain. I call it "being on a spit" pain. heat therapy sometimes works.

If it hurts to press in one place that could be Bursitis and can be helped with a cortisone injection into where it hurts, I used to ge this !!

Hi Angie, yes I get hip pain as well which is really painfull, I found out by accident that it is called Bursitis. Before I found out what it was I bought a new bed thinking it was the mattress lol. also any meds(painkillers) with ibrufen in them help because its inflamation. But be sure to check with your Doctor first.

Hello Angie,

Hip pain has made it so painful to walk any distance - the feeling is like there is no lubrication on the joint and my bones are rubbing together. I had a very painful cortosone injection as it was diagnosed as bursitus - but it came back with a vengeance!

I'm doing the fibro excercises the hospital gave me at the moment so am in pain again. No can win and have to live with it!

Swimming is the only thing which helps and now the nicer weather has come intend to go regularly.

I now have a memory foam mattress which has really helped - I can turn over in the night without waking up - amitriptyline keeps also helps....

Hi all

Just been to docs today, with the same thing, I have been having hip pain in both hips for weeks now. Couldn't stand it anymore as no medication worked, so went to doc and she said I have hip bursitis in both hips. Have to take celecoxib first to see if they work, plus all the blinking pills on for my fibro,blood pressure etc! If it doesn't work have to go back for corsitone injections. Oh the fun of it! one thing after another just want to be pain free! Will keep you updated to see if new pills work. Dont suffer go and get pain checked out!

I too have pain in both my hips. A few weeks ago I had to walk some distance in the severe cold and for 3 days afterwards I could barely put any weight at all on my right leg. I have two very painful pressure points in my hips that make me scream out in pain when pressure is put on them. Sometimes at night I wake in such agony the only way I can move is by holding onto the side of the mattress and dragging myself into a different position. I do also think that a lot of hip issues stem from the lower back and the sciatic area so this is something you might want to look into.

yes i have alot of hip pain it jus seizes up and cant move them i feel like one of those plastic barbie dolls where the whole of your bottom twists but hips dont bend lol love to you diddle x

Newbie here. Fibro has a lot to answer for. Thought I was going mad with all different symptoms looked like to all drs, and nurses I was going into surgery just for the fun of it lol. Just reading all these posts are helping to understand its not all in my head.......... Sorry that you are all suffering. Before I forget hello to everyone
