I am all new to this lifestyle and i feel that i am given no help by hospitals and gp's. All i know is that its called fibromyalgia and was given a leaflet which was useless. please feel free to give me some hints towards what i should be doing generally.

Hi jennie,

You are in the best hands for support on here hun, it is so good and there is so many people on here to help you and advise you.

There is always someone on. :)

Benefits is tricky and i am sure you will have someone who knows what they are talking about as i dont. sorry.

CAB would advise you on what to do hun.

Good luck and we are always here.

if you have an indepentant livin centre where you live they can be very helpful as they normally have a benefit advice person there that will help you and help you with your forms etc.... or you should have a money matters help team in your area that can help.... if you live in a housin ass porperty they normally have a help team for disabled people etc that can give you advice and help with forms tooo x x

I've still not had full diagnosis. My doctors, osteopath and consultant agree that i have fibro but how do i prove to benefits agency and housing association i have it?

Do you have a support group near you? My support group is brilliant and they always email any new information etc.

Of course, this site is brilliant and anything you want to know there will always be someone to help, ask away :) x

Hi Jennie try the benefits and work website it is brilliant you do have to make a one off payment but a wealth of advice and info and help for filling in forms worth a try.
