Been on here a week now and it's been great. Found out more about Fibro and people's experiences, symptoms that I've been worrying about thinking they are just me but find others have them too so helped put my mind at rest. Everyone is very friendly & supportive
Well, my week has been pretty miserable; spent most of the week in bed. Constantly exhausted and pain is just getting worse, take painkillers but they don't seem to touch it, whether it's because I have taken them for so long and my body has just got used to them I don't know. Back on crutches as my right hip is getting as bad as my left one was before it was replaced; really hope my right hip doesn't get as bad as needing a replacement as I certainly will be bionic before I'm 30.
Anyway, that's enough of me moaning. Hope you all have a lovely weekend and here's hoping that Wales win the Grand Slam tomorrow xx

If Wales win the Grand Slam I'll be happy I have osteoarthritis in my hips due to congenital dislocation of the hips, didn't know til I was 24 and it just snowballed since then and had left hip replaced a year later. I suffer with depression and joint hypermobility too!
Maybe hypermobility and Fibro go hand in hand? My knees are really painful too, especially my right one! Mad how many symptoms there are and there more and more just come, it's never ending! Do you work?
Def go to your doc about possible depression, they say it comes with Fibro but it's worth speaking to her about it as some anti depressants help with pain relief too! Hope appointment goes well!
No i dont work i had to give it up last year, i only done a little saturday cleaning job, but i loved it. My partner could of worked the sat and got more monney but i wouldnt give it up. I carried on until i started having to sit on the floor to hoover (it sounds mad but thats how painful my knees were lol).
My partner just keeps me now i have tried dla and failed but now i have hypermobility aswell as cfs/me and fibro i am going to try again.
I will let you know how i get on with my appointment.
Yes, very painful. Have been off work for the last 18months and prior to that I was off 6months cos of my hip replacement so really in last 30months, I've only worked for 5ish months
Agree, this site is very helpful as well as friendly and supportive. And yes, Wales to win the Grand Slam. Just watching it now and looks like we are heading that way x
