Hi Dawny, Yes hyper-sensitive to noise. I used to love loud music, clubbing, live bands, and now I can barely bring myself to go out to the pub! The idea of being crammed into a loud space with competing sounds is just too much, hence a certain lack of a social life, lol. Even at home, I'm always telling my boyfriend to turn the telly down, and i rarely play loud music anymore.

I'm with you there on the noise sensitivity.

Unfortunately my husband is starting to lose his hearing, so when I ask him to turn the tv down a bit because it hurts my ears he thinks I'm just being awkward; I often end up leaving the room just to keep the peace.

I've bought him a set of those headphones for people who can't hear the tv but he refuses to use them - I'm thinking of using them myself just to block out the noise!

yep ditto. also sensitivity to light, always wear sunglasses whenever there's even the hint of sunshine. which can look wierd when you're all wrapped up in winter coat and hat and also wear sunglasses. people do give you funny looks, but suppose it's better than permanent squint and people STILL looking at you wierdly!xx

Totally sensitive to noise even the sound of my own voice sounds loud and I am told that I talk very quietly - bit crazy isn't it!! I am like snowbell photo-sensitive - I just put that down to wearing reaction specs for a number of years and thought that they had made me sensitive - never thought about it being a fibro related thing.

I'm just the same, especially when my dog barks!

Very sensitive ears, I spend a lot of time alone in my room 'coz the TV is always on and it drives me mad.

To many conflicting noises and my head feels like its gonna explode.

Familt don't really understand just think I,m exaggerating lol
