I am asking you all if feeling like a child can be part of fibromyalgia. I have been feeling like this for a while now and just thought about looking into it

Not sure what you mean by feeling like a child 🤔

I think most disabilities can make you feel childlike, because you need care at an age we generally associate with independence.

Thanks that makes sense to me. I have been at work today, just to get some money for food but now I am home my wife is still trying to get a job as a carer

Disability is hard on the ego! We have to believe we are more than we produce, that we still matter, that we are not "just a burden". That's hard to do in a capitalist society, where " economically inactive" is a slur. But for centuries that's what most women were and we'd be so much poorer if we didn't see the value in all the unremunerated contribution they brought.Doesn't mean I'm very good at remembering/feeling this way though either 😁!

Thanks for the support, I am really struggling today as it's raining here and cold. Even though I am married I just feel like I am on my own. I have lit the log burner already this morning

Pain is isolating isn't it? It's not something you generally want to share. That's why these forums are so good. You know I've had chronic migraines since childhood. It took over 10 years to find a doctor that believed me, let alone treat me. I had many doctors that just flat out said "migraines never last longer than 48 hours", I was having them almost daily.

I've still never met a person in real life that has chronic migraines but I know they're out there because of the migraine forum. It's amazing how important it is to know you are not the only one. Especially with hidden illnesses.

A log burner sounds nice, I'm not good in the cold!

Thanks for the reply, I will pray for you for the migraine as we have a list of people around the world that we pray for. Even though I suffer daily I have to push myself to get going as I know I will need fire wood next winter. I have nearly finished phase 1. The log pile is the size of the 18 yrd box in football.
