Good morning everyone ,

I know some of you may be asleep or awake … I’m the latter lol @ 3am

Quick advice if anyone has had similar experience.

So had. Booked telephone assessment , answered call but no sound , call not connecting from thier side .

So I called the capita office and spoke to them . She stated that maybe you have a issue with your phone I was like clearly not I’m speaking with you lol. Then she stated we are having some technical issues .

Anyway they called back and again I answered no one on the line :

And again …

I called capita and explained . They said to callback next day which I did . They stated that they sent my to dwp: I asked why when the connection technical issue was from thier side and not myself ?

Called pip they stated they send it back to capita the following day and when I called capita 2 weeks( as advised by pip) after to find out what’s happening they stated we still waiting for a healthcare professional to decide what kind of assessment they want . I clarified again to them that it was capita that had the connection issue but they didn’t fully admit it :

Anyway I’m in no rush . I just had Occy health to support me that day . And if they want a face to face what do I do if I can’t get up in the morning due to flare up of symptoms or if it’s. Really bad day . ?

anyway has this happened to anyone .

Lastly GP last resort for sleep if maybe change antidepressants for one that does make you drowsy as they might help for both things. Can’t recall the name I think it is Mirtazapine. If anyone has been on it for a while .

Anyway sorry for the long message was hesitant as I usually try search to see if anyone has asked this before but couldn’t find anything .

thank you and god bless

I’ve been on mirtazipine twice, first in 2019 and most recently since November (had to change from Quetiapine as was pregnant and did not want to stay extra in hospital for monitoring, quetiapine can cause withdrawal symptoms in the baby but mirtazipine was not deemed as strong)

It sure helps for sleep - I fell asleep in the bath, and had to be really careful to take it early in the evening, resulting in a 9pm bedtime, or I was unable to get up in the morning early enough to get the kids to school. I was on 30mg back then, which is the dosage for antidepressant effect - supposedly 15mg is more effective for sleep but that’s what I’ve been on this time and it’s nowhere near as sedative as 30mg. I was supposed to go up to 30mg this time as well and have both strengths in the cupboard, but I have a 3m old baby who doesn’t sleep til 11-12pm and I can’t take it til she’s asleep, which then leaves me comatose til afternoon the next day, so I can’t do it. Currently taking neither as the 15mg did help sleep but leaves me tired and hungry and does nothing for the depression and the 30mg is too strong.

In 2019 it worked for a while but I put on loads of weight, then the pandemic came along and as everything was so up in the air and I actually quite enjoyed everything being shut, I decided I was ‘better’ and stopped taking it.

Yes mirtazapine is very good for some people not everyone, you must only take it at night because it does knock you out x
