Hey this is a bit a new query for me but does anybody have pelvic pain with Fibro?? I say new query because in the last 2 to 3 weeks a couple of times I've had quite intense pain just along the bikini line and as I'm of an age where periods are no longer for me I'm baffled as to what this could be. It feels like how my period pain use to be but not as bad.. I used to suffer very bad and also had endometriosis and fibroids.
Also when I have no Fibro pain in what the normal places are for me, I think maybe this is Fibro in a new area as I always have pain somewhere and maybe this is the next new spot for me. I've never noticed on here of anybody asking about the pelvic area issues.
Hope that all makes sense, I've read it over few times and can't word it any other way.
Many thanks

Hiya π, I've been suffering pelvic pain on the left side only for years around the bikini line. After extensive investigations via private consultants I was diagnosed with intestinal cystitis. I'm still not convinced this is the reason for this particular pain as I still get that pelvic pain but it's not constant thank god. It comes and goes, maybe for a few days at a time. I'm 50, on HRT and I no longer get periods either so I know it's not them either π€·. Annoying isn't it π€. Sorry I don't have the answer, but it's always nice to know you're not alone or going mad. I look forward to the answers from others on your question π. Take care x
With my pain it only lasts for hours rather than days , at least at the moment. I'm not sure what it is and I guess I won't unless I go the Dr's. I suppose i wanted to ask to see if it could be another symptom of Fibro and one I've never even considered until now.
Both times I've had it it was during the night and it kept me awake. It actually felt like it does if you hold your wee too long , but I hadn't and obviously once you go the loo after little while it went but this time it didn't for hours.
I'm not on any HRT not really sure if I should be maybe that's something to consider again.
What I think I'll do is see if it happens again and go from there.
No need to apologise about not having the answer that's impossible but I appreciate you reading and replying
Morning Frenchi88,I'm currently experiencing quite bad pelvic pain. I've also been told I might have pmr. Until 4 days ago when the the treatment of steroids worked brilliantly initially. Sad to say no longer so I'm I'm reducing them every 2 weeks. I have an appointment with rheumatology in March ish. So I'm back to fibromyalgia. I've passed my menopause yey π. But I'm flaring at the moment.
Ask if you could have polymyalgia rheumatica. Or look it up and see for yourself sweetie hugs Dawn.
Sadly, your post makes only too much sense to me.I have fibromyalgia, IBS and various autoimmune illnesses, plus I've had a transverse hysterectomy. So I don't think cause will ever be clearly established.
But whatever the cause of the sometimes excruciating pain I get across my pubic bone area, I really struggle with it. The best thing for me is to rest, propped up in a semi sitting position with a warm/hot wheat bag on the area. This at least makes me feel brighter if nothing else!
The pain can last for hours or more or come on for hours in a day for days or weeks at a time. Then, as suddenly as it arrived, it goes.
Hey MrsMouseSJI think with those of us with multiple ailments are ultimately frustrated when we have symptoms that can be from quite a few sources so there's never really an answer is there and I think that's what gets to me most of all.
See what your symptoms are sounds like mine. With the pain across the public bone area , having for hours for me at the moment , and can go as quick as it comes.
The way you comfort yourself sounds like my period days that I AM SO THANKFUL TO NOT HAVE ANY LONGER !!! But this sounds like those could be coming back but for another problem. God I hope not as I thought THOSE DAYS were behind me, I though we'll that one thing that I haven't got to contend with anymore.
The wheat bag sounds like a nice and comforting.π
Well I guess I'll wait to see if and when it comes back and then take it further.
Hi, it may be that you have ADENOMYOSIS which is often referred to as the evil twin of ENDOMETRIOSIS. I am 61 and was diagnosed 2 years ago, but had it and other gynae problems for decades. A site that explains it very well is Sunshine Holistic Therapy on FB. when I read what it said about pain on the left hand side of public bone, which causes pressure n pain to bowel and bladder etc. No other sites explain it as well.
Hey LaurieLeeWell this is another new thing I've never heard of so I'll have a look and give it a good read and see if it resembles anything for me. Appreciate the site in which to look it up too so thanks for that.
Hey Broadfield I absolutely shall consult my GP I appreciate your concern and totally get that we always put it down to Fibro. I suppose it can cast a shadow over what we should be doing other than just putting the Fibro label on everything.
If I get it one more time my GP will be my next port of call.
