hi all, i have recently developed a strange feeling in my ears which is like constantly having water deep in the ear canal. When I move my head it feels like the ? Water is moving and it is effecting my hearing. This alongside my brain fog is very frustrating.
Is this a common symptom of fibromyalgia?

Hi, sounds like you might just have some fluid in your ears. It happens sometimes, especially when you're congested because then your eustachian tube can get clogged from the congestion, stopping your ears from being able to drain naturally. The first thing I would try to do is take an antihistamine of some kind such as Benadryl, Clarityn, Allevia, and/or etc.) These can sometimes help drain the fluid out of your ears. If this doesn't help, then I would get it checked out.
Hi hunYes Ive been getting this. It's really getting on my nerves. It's like when your on an aeroplane and your waiting for the air pressure to pop. Its another symptom but sure if your experiencing any other problems. Go to Dr. There are so many bugs going around at the moment it's so annoying. All my shoulders and back and bones more on one side are not playing very nice. I've had enough is there a magic wand for all of US out there with this unkind chronic illness 😢😍xx
Hi reading through your symptoms. Have you been tested for Pmr as chronic pain in arms and shoulders is a major symptom. When I was going through this it was worse at night I couldn't lift my arms above my head. I was put on steroids and it was heaven sent within hours my pain was. So much better. I will have to be on steroids for 12 months but it's a small price to pay for the relief. Hope this is helpful. Take care 🎄
hi, I think i will go to docs to check it out. I was just curious that it may be another symptom of fibro before i went as my doc seems to associate everything to my fibromialgia. You are right though with the need to pop my ears. My family now think i have selective hearing lol.
Hi first stop is to go on line look up pharmacy 1st and you will get an video appointment with a pharmacist who will help you Rx something or refer you on if necessary It sounds to me it could be excess wax that has trapped water in your ear whist showering / washing hair.. theur are ear drops that will dissolve the wax and clear the water. Don't leave it long as you may develop an infection
Good morning all and happy new year xxI had this a fair few years ago . It was like I had water in my ears plus I wasn't hearing what people was saying to me .it was frustrating, I was sent to the ears nose and throat at the hospital, they checked my ears and put a small camera up my nose it came back with nothing .This was before I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia xx
