throat problems

just latley i feel as if i have got something stuck in my throat after either eating or taking my medication its a horrable feeling ive tried drinking lots of water but nothing seems to clear it then all at once its clear!!!!!been struggling since yesterday lunch time its driving me mad.Am i going mad or have others had this.thanks for reading

I can relate to this....am speaking to my doc on tues.

had it for ages and thought it was just fibro however a nurse friend I have said to get it checked out to be on safe side.....perhaps you should to as well.....will let u know

could be what I have which is a muscle in throat that goes into spasms now and again, was tested up the hospital they say its down to the fibro apparently , but it's not nice, I have been told to try and swallow a coupe of mouthfuls of fizzy water the medics say not tonpanic or worry it will right itself evertime, hope this help...gentle hugs...Dee x

I actually had that problem yesterday. I had a look in the mirror and could see what looked like ulcers on he back of my tongue. Whatever it was its gone down a lot since then. Speak to your doctor to be on the safe side x

Hi I have problems with throat also but mainly my voice feels as though some one has hand round it (sounds stupid I no ) been like this since 2010 been to specialist few weeks ago he said all was clear which was great news havin my thyroid checked for 2nd time this year have trouble swallowing and my voice is constantly changing. All I get told is it is just another part of fibromyalgia I was diagnosed 2years ago nw but glad to have finally fined out why I get all this pain I m waiting to go to a fibro clinic nw in October after asking my regular GP about it several times he said he never heard of it but went to differant doctor 4 woks ago I was havin worst flair up since Xmas she was much more sympathetic and said that it a much more recognised illness now but will let u no how I get on at the clinic x

Hello Louda, Sorry for the late reply but I saw your message and thought I must reply. I have had this problem with my throat off and on over the years. It is a horrible feeling as though something is stuck down my throat, I have difficulty in swallowing, food, medication and just swallowing . I went to see my Gp and she said it isn't anything to do with Fibro. But is caused by stress etc and there isn't much they can do to get rid of it! Hope I've been of some help. Love Aisha....x

Hi Louda I too get this problem with swallowing its the most awful feeling also sometimes when I am eating a sandwich I cant swallow the blooming thing and have to drink gallons of water.I have been to the hospital I had a camera down my nose He sed because I have a hiatus hernia the is a valve in the throat that stops reflux and sometimes that valve goes into spasm and it feels like your tablets or food are stuck in the back of your throat he sed not to worry about it but i want to know why do the tablets taste so horrible when the dissolve in your throat lol but as others have sed check it out if they mention a camera down your nose please don't worry about it cos it DOESNT HURT I am the worlds biggest coward and all I will say is it was a wee bit uncomfortable but so is a blood test hope that's a bit of help to you love and bubbles xx
