Hi Animalover, I have had Fibro for 18 years, and previously CFS, from late 20s. Fibro and arthritis and others, have similar symptoms and can mask what you have. I also suffer with my neck, it's probably my worse part of body, with back and legs. I good pillow shaped for neck, cold spray and heat pads help a bit, lots of different medications, which on a few, but you have to find what helps you. Knowing your energy levels, pacing and managing your daily chores and outings. Take care.

Cfs, is chronic fatigue syndrome, they say you get these illnesses from trauma, stress and illnesses, I had glandular fever in 20s, and felt burnt out of energy. I still have the fatigue, which is worse now, and comes with they everything, just finding what you can do each day. Hope you find what helps you, as everyone different. x

It's ok, I say tiredness sometimes, means just the same, depends how memory is, alot of time, when trying to remember something, it's gone out head 🙄🤣. It's good you sleep well, alot of us have rubbish sleep, I have not much sleep, and like said, still feel tired, how ever you sleep. If you feel you need a sleep or rest, just do what body says, you can't help feeling like this, it's part of it, and finding your energy levels, it could be thyroid if family has it, but they can help you with that. I had X-rays and MRIs, and blood tests, but they rarely find infection, or inflammation, as fibro don't show anything in bloods. Most people don't understand it, but there are leaflets for it, to help with friends and family, as some can think you look ok, so you are, but your close people will understand and be there, so can be lonely sometimes. You look after yourself and I am here is want to say hello . x

Hi Animalover, yes I find heat pads help, put on every morning and if shoulders and back having a worse day, but I love mine and cosy about 8p to run, so good if heating too expensive. Mum bought me pillow years ago, but bought a new one now, not as good, the memory foam one good, with a shape, and have the memory foam mattress as well, a bit old now, could do with a new one, a present from my late mum as well. Acupuncture also worked years ago, but so expensive, which sad, had a few from docs. x

Sorry about mum , yes they say it can be brought on by stress and trauma in life. I've just come out of a relationship of 25 years , I don't know how I am getting by, but I've had alot of things in past, and I am very tough and strong, but still hard and life very different. If weren't for my cat, I would be a mess and living in new town, with people I don't know, and family in old town, is life changing. x

No mum never had fibro, but arthritis, but she always believed me, and helped me. I know sometimes you know how you feel and wonder what it is. I love animals, have had dogs, my son has lizards and cats, but I've had my black cat since a baby, and now 10, an indoor cat, I have never felt so loved by her, she is so special. x
