random bruising

Hello all I hope you are as well as possible.

I have noticed for the last couple of months random bruises on various areas of my body- trunk,legs,arms. Is this yet another present from the gift of Fibro?

I get a bruise on my right hip every so often and I used to get lots of them on my forearms...

Not sure why.

Yes I get random bruises with fibromyalgia, one of the many fibro symptoms I'm afraid

my balance isn’t great so I don’t fall over…. Much! But I do bump into things a lot. Sometimes I just a wee tap will bring a bruise.

Hi Molliesmamma, absolutely random bruising is our thing, but if this is a new symptom, always best to have a quick mot blood check up, make sure your not lacking in any key areas, bruisings can be sign of low platelets too. Take care

Hi Marchhare, yes was thinking a blood test may be an idea just to be safe. This Fibro does keep throwing things at us doesn’t it! Gift that keeps giving right enough 🙈. Hope you are as well as can be

Yes I do too! Also bruise very easily these days, I'm so clumsy I bump into things a lot, sometimes I will remember what I did to cause the bruise, and other times although I know that I bumped myself somewhere I cannot for the life of me remember where! So random bruising, bruising easily and Fibro Fog in play!

Talked to my doctor today and she’s ordering some blood tests for me so maybe I’ll get some answers to this. 🤞

Yes I get random bruises also. I have had them on my legs, arms, and other areas of my body. I don't know how I got them either. I think it must be something due to Fibro, but I am no expert.
