Sorry to hear you are in so much pain have you tried heat packs may help a little

Gentle hugs Bernadette xxxx

You have my sympathy this is what I live with daily... I use heat packs , or deep heat rosemary and vanilla neck and shoulder rescue cream, a hot shower, if that doesn't work I have emergency diazepam as I am allergic to all pain killers except paracetamol... I also have trigger point injections every 3 months , and they take the edge off the pain... It has just spread to both sides of my neck. If nothing helps go to your GP and he may be able to prescribe something that goes with your other meds to help

Hope it wears off soon

I too get this all the time and have limited movement in my neck but sitting especially in a stressful meeting would make it worse. I too use heat packs, hot showers and pain relief meds along with my normal meds for particularly bad days.

Hope you get some relief soon x

Hi Belinda ...I too have these spasms (awful) my last one was 8days ago / I visited the g.p. (yes, again !!) he gave me diazepam which did help a little...a word of warning here, although I'm not a doctor, he advised me that you can become addicted to diazepam in as little as 4days, so it's not advisable to consider this a "long term" pain relief medication, that's only my opinion :-(

I use a heated wheat bag with drops of lavender and sage oil on it (makes the microwave stink !!) it helps to relax my muscles and also if you lie down and position it just right under your shoulder, and "wiggle " a little, it gives the effect of a gentle massage :-) of course, if you have an other half/friend to GENTLY massage the area, I find it decreases the spasm, relaxes your mind and body then this leads to your pain medication having more effect :-D

Phew, that took some writing and correcting !!!!

I hope you get some relief very quickly :-)
