I've been struggling with stomach pain last few weeks which is really annoying and debilitating. It's under bra area or I'm guessing that's diaphragm (?), but also I get it in my middle area too and it's kind of dull ache and really makes me not feel like eating and yet I think oh I'd better eat something to make it go away?!
Just wanted to ask if anyone has any thought?
I do have IBS as well as fibro sciatica and the rest, and I spoke to gp who suggested could be due to recent stress (just had my pip telephone review call), but I do wonder as I rely on pregablin and cocodamol for pain relief, has my stomach had enough?!
Thank you
And bless you all

last couple weeks ive had bad stomach pains along with bad aches n pains think may be a flare. i also have acid reflux and atleast once a week im sick my legs also have a funny feeling before hand.this is such a strange condition with everything that goes with it.
The way you describe it sounds like when I had gastritis, for me it was caused by ibuprofen and/or cocodamol. It went away after a few weeks on omeprazole and stopping both painkillers. I do take ibuprofen still when I'm desperate but not every day anymore
sounds very much like gastritis omeprazole or similar for a few weeks may clear it its inflamation of stomach lining. meds can cause it or could be other cause. you can get omeprazole,or similar at chemist or gp.if that works then quite likely the meds irritating.
Do you have anything like lanzoprazole or pantoprazole prescribed to look after your stomach lining because of the other meds you are on? if not then worth while speaking to GP to get your esophagus and stomach checked out by a specialist. I delayed doing this for over a year as I didn't get the usual acid reflux symptoms, but by the time I did get sorted my esophageal tract and upper stomach was practically burned through (stomach acids are nasty things - nb I've also not got a gallbladder to store my acids so think of a dripping tap stain on an old bath!), and I had 2 large ulcers. Thankfully now all under control with one simple pill a day - and it was one less area of pain to contend with.
I've found that with Fibro - try to make small (or large) changes to stop one area of pain seems to make the rest "mostly copeable with"
I've been on lansoprole, (previously did have ulcer and other gastric stuff)
however on Friday out the blue, gp surgery called me and was a pharmacist asking why I was still taking it as I'm not on naproxen?
I said I thought I still needed to take it. He went through list of acid reflux symptoms which I currently don't get, and said I can stop it.
Anyway this morning I've managed to get econsult done for this problem as yesterday I was suffering pain spasm and diarrhoea, I had a terrible night sleep.
I'd like to have the opportunity to at least see someone face to face for a proper consultation!
Aaah the good old computer generated tick box strikes again! (And don't even get me started on "you MAY benefit from taking stains" which I keep getting text reminders for...)
They took my husband off Lanzo because he was no longer taking naproxen for knee pain - despite having to take a daily aspirin for another condition... when I made him query why they checked and said - oh sorry - no, you should still be taking it!
I never had any acid reflux at all (except when drinking white wine - which I'd stopped doing), and still my stomach was in an appalling state when I finally had the endoscopy. We know our own bodies - listen to it and be insistent.
Out of interest - do you get palpitations at all? I did, and went through all sorts of tests for my heart - which were all negative. It was caused by GERD (google it), and finally stopped when I got my daily dose of Pantoprazole. Been told I will be on this for life, but having had a pharmacy mess up when I ran out for a week and had to go without I couldn't believe how quickly the symptoms came back.
Hope you get a good result soon & good luck with the PIP!
Thank you, I had response by email general email saying I'll probably be contacted tomorrow, so I need to be ready to answer!
My stomach feels like it could go one way or the other just now and I'm not feeling well at all.
I'm trying to survive on pregablin and paracetamol and not take cocodamol as im sure its not good to have that much codeine in my body constantly, but im really struggling pain wise and feeling very unhappy 😒
