I have CFS/ME, Fibromyalgia etcMy previous doctor from when I moved new what I had etc.
I have had shingles maybe three times.
But I can't understand why they have message my husband, who is younger then me and as diabetes for the first time for a shingles injections and he as never had shingles?

Hi Sharron, those with diabetes like your husband and myself, are considered vulnerable and at higher risk for shingles and its complications. The vaccine is offered to any diabetic person over 19 with a weak immune system or those diabetics over 50. Healthy people aged 70 to 79 will also be called for the vaccine but not those over 80(something about the vaccine not being so effective in this age group). Also those aged 65 will be offered it this year with catch up for those 66 to 70 to follow. At least this is what I have been told by my nurse at the diabetic clinic.
As Momo says it may be worth phoning your GP surgery to check.
