So I was involved in a rear end shunt in July. Car hit me at 50mph and I was stationery.
I've got neck and spine problems and this has greatly increased my pain and also the symptoms I'm showing as well.
Constant neck pain, throbbing and cruching when I move my neck.
Back pain and spasms all the time down my legs.
13 week wait for the pain clinic. If put thru as urgent. My gp didn't do it correctly in August so lost 4 weeks. Managed to confirm referral and it's down as urgent so should be seen roughly the end of November.
Physio done but they can only show me so much.
Pain and problems reported but no imaging done as I wasn't bad enough to get them when I went to a&e.
The driver hit had a passenger who was smoking weed in the company vehicle.
Police report said unable to progress as not enough evidence to prove qhat I was reporting. Flaming joke.

Hi Dolphin100, I can totally relate. Similar happened to me a few years ago, hit me so hard my whole car frame was twisted and I couldn't get out my door, shunted me on to the car in front and wrote my car off!
Old guy was done with dangerous driving but was denying it right up to the day of court. I was lucky police were at the scene and plenty of witnesses. It is so painful though, hope it eases for you soon 😞
First let me say that the Police don’t make the decisions on prosecutions, that is done by the CPS who are an outside body, your insurance company should be pursuing this for you, you could ask your Dr for another referral if the pain is getting worse, keep pushing for answers.
Hi the police have written to me so they definetly made the decision. I have asked for the referral but an urgent one 13 week wait. I will keep pushing on for it. Thanks
Mine was dealt with lawyers through my insurance but I only got £1000 for a whiplash injury + the market value of the car. So many people doing the 'get rich quick' has ruined it for genuine people who are actually injured 😔
Even though it was an older car it was in perfect condition, low mileage etc.. and would have run for years so it was worth so much more to me but it didn't even cover the remaining finance on my car that had been written off.
Had to factor in balance with next car & obviously had nothing to trade in. So you're left injured and out of pocket for something that's totally not your fault!
Going through same thing now. Was rear ended whilst stationary in front of 4 cctv cameras. Police refusing to pursue the driver who left the scene. My car is off the road for at least 6 weeks. Various minor injuries 😩 which in turn make the fibro worse. Hope you feel better soon.
So sorry to hear about your car accident. Can't understand what is going on with the physiotherapist or the police. Similarities I have with you are not to do with insurance abd police, but mostly more about pain when referred to physiotherapy after being a passenger in a taxi that was crashed into. I was sat opposite the front seat passenger, thrown into the window of the next seat then towards the back window and suddenly thrown down in my seat. Couldn't move, no cuts or bruises and had to be taken to hospital after being helped by paramedics after being cut from the taxi. No police attended, neither did they contact me about it. I was on the stretcher for at least 6 hours at the hospital b4 treatment. Tests confirmed I had whiplash & I was given a collar for my neck as I couldn't keep my neck straight due to pain. Tramadol was prescribed and Physio began around 2 weeks later. This worsened the pain considerably and had me in tears for around 3 months. Still, I hadn't had an xray or mri scan & was off work for at least 6 months as my symptoms became worse with the physio. Pain began radiating practically all over my body and I couldn't sit up without being in pain. At 6 months I tried going back to work and although my employer made adjustments it just exacerbated my symptoms. My employer called my gp and stated I wasn't well enough to go back to work. My gp weaned me off the neck collar, referred me to a different physiotherapy practice, and gave me different painkillers. The new physiotherapist was fantastic as she asked me numerous questions and determined that I stop the exercises and just rest for 3 months. She believed it was too much too soon and my muscles, tendons etc were stressed, under duress and needed to rest and relax to stop the pain. She was spot on & I was back at work 3 months later. I contacted my union from work as the crash happened on the way to work. Almost 3 years later I was awarded 3.5K after the union took their fee from the 10K of the award, the robbing twats. I hope you get another referral and a better outcome. All the best 😍
Sounds awful. I did online shopping and the gp took it as serious that I had to revert to that. Write it all down and go see your gp with it. Let him or her read it as it's ridiculous that you're still suffering like this. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. It's so unfair. Please let us know how you get on. All the best 😍
