If there was another party involved, make sure their insurance doesn't take advantage of your fibro to try and reduce any settlement. Had this happen to me - even though the other party hit me at 40mph when I was stationary. Looking at this phone and didn't see me stopped at a giveway line...
His docs said I was only in pain cos of fibro and not cos of what he'd done. Luckily the damage on my car showed how hard he must have hit, so they were able to calculate the impact on me.
Oh Charlie I really feel for you I had 2 non fault accidents within 6 mths of one another and it really messed me up, hope that you get effective pain relief.
Just remember your car is just a metal box and I thank god that you are alive.
Lots of soft hugs

Charlie, so relieved you are ok. Take time to heal and get as much rest as you can. Take note of what Spirit says regarding motor insurance policies, the wording can be very ambiguous and confusing. Seek advice at your local CAB (Citizens' Advice Bureau) if you need help over this. I assume you were not at fault, but even if you were, you need to be aware of your rights and legal implications and your health of course and exactly what is covered by your policy. Take care and I hope you feel more comfortable very soon. Bless you.
Hi Charlie, boy I really feel for you. I have had 4 accidents (passenger all times) in total and one accident I was off work for two and a half years so I can really sympathise (this was before I had Fibro). I had a bad neck injury and still suffer today. I hope you find some relief and am thinking of you x
Hi, l had a car accident and broke my neck in 2 places 25 years ago,had 2 op.with metal and wires and another for spondilitus, bone took off my hip and packed in neck, lve never stopped going hospital/pain management, pain clinic/phychologist.all sorts, never slept on my side or back in all those years,so fully understand about necks, good luck and hope it does heal quickly, alot of weight is taken on your neck at night, hence no more than none to 2 hours sleep ever in 25 years with tablets.what with fibro, been hard work, but got to keep pressing on,could be a long job,go careful and good luck, hope the pain eases.xx
