Fybo or cancer

Started having extreme fatigue and it was effecting my driving to the point I was falling asleep at the wheel no matter what I tried, lost about a stone and a half without trying and Started noticing my number 2s had blood. Currently going under tests to rule out colon cancer which is terrifying me as the more I read about cancer and leg pain the more I am worrying it has spread. The leg pain I suffer is like growing pains x10. I also seem to suffer some sort of attack where I could be talking away and suddenly my eyes roll to the back of my head, find it difficult to stay awake almost like I have taken some sort of sedative and this is what was happening when I was driving. I have been suffering from slight brain fog when trying to recall certain places like the local Chinese or filling out a form can be problematic. My fatigue is crippling although some days I can do a lot like help with housework but it then seems the next day I am wiped out physically. My mum suffers from fybo and I am now suspecting it may be the same for me rather than colon cancer. Any information is greatly appreciated folks, Thanks

Hello, I see this is your first post so let me welcome you to our group 😊 May I just give you the heads up. It is called fibro not Fybo.

There can be many reasons for blood in a persons poo. So I would try not to second guess the out come. Second guessing anything will only make you more anxious then that can open the way to thinking and feeling worse than we actually do. I am talking from experience. I am a big worry wort 😂

I am sure you wont be long in getting your results back then you will be able to talk over how you feel with your GP. Good luck and please keep us updatedxx

Hi there Heyyaall. I understand the worry you must be feeling about the blood in your poo. Tell your doctor he or she should give you a sample pack and send it off. They will look intoit thoroughly. Then if need be you will probably have a colonoscopy which is a camera up your ass. Then you will know for sure. It could be a polyp they will remove and send it for biopsy. You may have diverticles like myself. Or it could just be bleeding hemeroid.

Whatever it is don't get stressed or try not to till you know for definite what it is. I myself am doing for cystoscopy on Tuesday. There was blood in my wee. Nit looking forward to that at all. The tiredness could just be down to stress especially if your not sleeping well at night.

Hope this helps and puts your mind at ease a bit.

Take care

Hey mate, yeah had a positive fit test, neither Doctor mentioned piles, one said he found a polyp one said he never, waiting on letter to confirm colonscopy date. Think this along with losing a stone and a half since Jan and the extreme fatigue they are wanting to rule cancer out. Really hope your OK as well can't be good having the blood in the urine, I just want to get back to work really enjoy my job but having moved onto long term sickness I do feel it's a matter of time before I am sacked. My number 2s are concerning me as they are now tape like in shape which is just another indicator, have been drinking meds to help the constipation and that has been the end result. Trying to just cross each bridge as I come too it but the pain I get in my legs is horrendous and worries me more just want to feel normal again Thanks for your reply N aw the best mucker hope everything is OK 👌

Be assured that, whatever the worry, you are doing the right thing in getting tests done. I have had fibro for over ten years and I also have a lot of gastric problems and like you I am so tired I could sleep for England. I put this down to disturbed sleep due to pain in my hips and shoulders. Sometimes you have to battle through so keep your chin up and try to distract yourself by doing something you enjoy from time to time.

Hello H,I also have a lot of the symptoms you mention and was tested for cancer amongst other things over a few years. Fibromyalgia was diagnosed eventually. Wishing you all the best with yours tests. Stay strong and positive, eat well and get plenty of rest. Try some meditation to help you relax your mind.

I really hope all goes well with your tests and that it turns out to be something simple.

Please come back here and let us know how you have got on. If it is Fibro you will get a wealth of advice and support on here. Just a thought it could be found that you could have CFS along with Fibro. Hope not.

Hugs Lilly

Hi, I had exact same experience with brain fog and extreme fatigue..I thought it was me going thru the change but it was fibro, on top of me already having osteoarthritis and facet joint arthritis in my back. The pain I get with the fibro is immense at times and every inch of my body is in pain, more so if stressed or upset, and I do what I can when I can, but then when I stop I literally cannot move unless I drag myself up to do so! But u have to do just that, keep moving or u will let it beat u!. Fibro is classed as a mental disability due to Dr's not knowing what actually causes it, because there is no physical cause for it, its classed as mental stress? Stress thru being left in pain with my back caused mine I think, so pls get to ur Dr and chase correct diagnosis. There's nothing worse than being in pain and not knowing why? Blood in ur poo may be down to ur pain meds..I get that too and im just about to see if I can get checked to b safe than sorry too. Good luck and I hope they get u sorted as I know how debilitating the pain is and it does get u down..my neighbours think there's nothing wrong with me cos I drag myself in to wrk everyday! U wont win in respect of trying to keep going, if u dont wrk ur a benefit scrounger but if u do, theres nothing wrong with u! Good luck! Xx

I only take paracetamol as had a drug addiction to Co codomal for 7 years, clean now was a part of my life where I took 8 every day as it numbed my grief having lost someone close to suicide and my little sister sadly passed away, co codomal helped but not in the right way so counselling and support and thankfully clean now but refuse to take anything stronger for now. Hope your feeling well tonight and everything is OK with You mate, Thanks for your input means a lot 😊
