PIP changes form AR1 UI

Hi there

Feeling slightly terrified today! This is my first time completing the changes form and I’m wondering if anyone has any advice. My handwriting is not small and there doesn’t seem to be a lot of room to write in the boxes - and I can’t see anything about using an additional sheet. It’s hard enough working out what to write, never mind trying to shoehorn it in!

I would be really grateful for some advice - thanks in advance.

You can contact our benefits team for advice /guidelines on completing the form

You can also type answers on a separate sheet of paper - just make sure you include you name and national insurance number on each one

With your review form you certainly can add extra pages at the end (so long as you say which question you're continuing), ensuring you put your name & National Insurance number on each page.

You should give as much detail as you hopefully did with your initial claim form, so don't just indicate 'no change' for example, without saying exactly how you're affected now. The assessor may not be able to see your initial claim form.

Give a couple of recent, detailed examples as to the difficulty you face for each applicable descriptor, i.e. when did it happen, where, what happened, did anyone see this, & were there any consequences to attempting/doing an activity, e.g. pain/fatigue?

Say if you can't do each applicable activity 'reliably,' i.e. safely, to an acceptable standard, repeat as often as one would reasonably expect, or if it takes you much longer than someone without a disability. See this mentioned in the link below.

Fluctuating conditions are also mentioned in the link. Remember PIP is about how you are the majority of days.

Keep a copy of everything 'just in case,' & get a free Certificate of Posting from your Post Office when sending the form off.

Wow! That is great advice. I’ll read it through carefully as there’s lots to think about. Thank you so much.

I have had to do the same and they just use another sheet of paper and just put a heading on top as a follow on from what you have already written .

Not what you're looking for?
