Hi, fibro is not known to be inflammatory so I would say it is not fibro related IMO.

Hi,

You poor thing .... YES I have episodes of excatly the same suffering.....it's so unpleasant it's like I have severe sunburn on my head/scalp and when I TRY to brush my hair it's feels like my hair is knotted....its very painful. I try to dappen my hair / head before brushing which does help.

Hope this helps.

It's very interesting Momo you talk of inflammation not being Fibromyalgia as my french folks over here talk of it being inflammatory such as the chemists, a friend who's Mum has fibro she says it's inflammatory....I have explained to my knowledge it is not.

It's a shame that there remains confusion amongst sufferers.🤔

Have the best day possible all ☀️

Yes, does affect the scalp with me too. Naproxen is helping it all, which is a anti inflammatory medication, so who knows

I've had fibro for over 50 years and it completely taken away my life , I've read and read reports of this illness and it has always been said fibro does not cause inflammation,if you have inflammation then something else is going on , I too have a painful head from time to time ,if you have pain in a place that is constant and for a very long time then you need to see a doctor, a brilliant Legitimate web site is verywell, com it covers lots of other health as well , you can read up about fibro and everything to do with it , one the the team that writes on there has also written in the fibromyalgia magazine here in the uk , no confusion just facts

I had too stop my hairdresser putting colour on my hair as I’d burn and go threw the roof like a lot of stinging wasps for about 10 mins 🙁perhaps you could speak too your practioner nurse at your surgery or ask for a call back for some advice, even hair products can aggravate sometimes or some people are allergic too a product, i hope you get too the bottom of this very soon xx

Harrop65...the scalp issue could be related to hay-fever, possibly made worse by the fibro. Tree pollen from March onwards and then grass and other pollens can lodge in your hair and irritate the scalp. Washing your hair and showering before bed may help alleviate your symptoms.
