Mine used to be really strong and I always had them long and painted but now they split as soon as they get over the end of my finger
Yep, I've given up on mine now. Its either spend about £30 a mnth getting falsies or keep them short and neat...3 guesses what I've opted for? LOL.
Hi. My nails are very weak, flake and have ridges running vertically, making them susceptible to splitting. I don't consider it part of my Fibro, as they've always been like that, and my Mum also has the same problems. I have found since taking Vitamin D and calcium supplements that they do grow quicker, but not stronger.
I've tried just about every available product to help improve them, but nothing works for me. When i was working, i was able to afford to have false nails applied professionally, but that went out the window some considerable time ago! Now, I just try to keep them as neat as possible by filing them regularly and trimming my cuticles too.
My nails went really bad until my doctor advised me to take vitamin D and calcium supplements I have been taking htem for nearly 2 months and they have improved a lot they have even started to grow again and they are starting to get stronger but this is a very slow process I also use a growth maximiser by Sally Hansen and this is also good it is like a clear tnail varnish that you use every day
