Hi. How long does it take for pIP forms to come through? I applied 3 weeks ago.

hi 🌻I have applied on 2nd February and was given a date of Assessment on 30th March.
According to the DWP - 20 weeks or thereabouts. It really depends where you are and which desk your application lands on. New claims are given priority over reviews. Unfortunately it’s a wait and see game. Hopefully you won’t have to wait too long.
Sorry I obviously misunderstood, thought you had already put your forms in. With all the bank holidays etc and postal strikes I would imagine they have been held up but give them a call and ask them if they have sent them and if they have can they send a replacement set with a new completion time.
thank you I call them tomorrow 😊
Mine took 3 weeks and left me one week to fill in and for them to receive it.Ensure that you send it by tracked/ signed for delivery rather than the free envelope provided
hi, what I wasn’t aware of is that your forms don’t necessarily come from the nearest centre, it can come from anywhere in the UK. Sending gentle hugs xx
Mine took About 10 days . So might be worth chasing them up! Good luck
Hello, you're better off doing it online, you can take pictures of all your evidence on paper and upload it along with any emails or digital letters you may have. X
you will need to phone them as you only have 1 month from the date the forms are allegedly sent out to you to fill it in and send it back, it takes at least 2 weeks for them to send them to who ever it is who then sends them out, the forms that come out will have the date typed on it. mine took 5 weeks to come to me which was after the date that it was supposed to be sent back by. if the form is not completed and sent back by the date on the form they can cancel the claim
I applied early Feb and had my assessment last week. I think t may vary from area to area. I am in the North East. Good luck x
Just to prepare you Av41, applying is the easy part. You’ll probably get rejected first time, then you’ll have to appeal to one of the most stressful, degrading experiences of a lifetime and then you’ll have to go to an appeals court, which from what I understand is when you’ll be treated more like a human being. Stick at it though - so I’m told. Be prepared to still be fighting a year or so later. I’m sure many people have died during the interim period. I genuinely think that’s what they are hoping. Having said that, the last gentleman I spoke to was very helpful and considerate. Those type of people tend to leave rather quickly being unprepared to treat people the way they are told to. I even heard they get commissions for declining people. I don’t know if that’s true, but I could very much believe it. Good luck.
Although it’s no laughing matter I thought I’d share this with the hope it might bring a smile to your face. Something I do to keep me relatively sane. Hope you enjoy: xx PIP I can only talk of my experience and my experience was so. That the people in the PIP regime just didn’t want to know. They ask you dumb, ridiculous questions. that didn’t relate to me. Like can you climb at least two steps, or make a cup of tea. I wish the requisite for work was can you please turn up and do you take milk or sugar in your coffee cup. It’s humiliating, disrespectful, the lengths to which they go. All to reach the foregone conclusion: Computer, it says no. Not only will they do it once. They’ll put you through it again. Regardless of your suffering, or how much you’re in pain. Eventually you’ll go to court where hopefully you’ll win over those whose lives depict the true meaning of sin. If you’ve a long term disability and can’t earn your daily bread. All you’ll get from the people at PIP are wishful thoughts you’ll soon be dead. - Wednesday 10th May 2023. 07:22
If they come and its taken a long time bot giving you much time to fill it in , ring and explian they give you an extention which is usually a month. I have just had to do it witnh my review paper that gave me 5 days to complete
Mine arrived yesterday and I requested the form 10 days ago. Even though I currently have a PIP award and I won appeal in Tribunal in December 22 PIP decided I have to start a new claim from May 23… ridiculous after waiting one year without payment and finally managed to get it!!! Still I’m going to fill out forms as not sure what else I could do
It takes 10 days for a form to arrive with yourself and also 10 days to land on a desk from its arrival at the office. You can call and ask for an extension to complete and return forms. Be aware that it can take 45 minutes plus to get through on the phone. Before returning forms always copy your form .
