Please tell them what you CANT do instead of what you can or try to do.

I am lucky I have DLA and Support group ESA because I studied all the items I could find and I also downloaded a copy of their training file to see what they looked for. EG. If the client admits to doing their own shopping ASSUME they can walk 200m,

Concentrate your answers on what it feels like to you to do any of the things they ask. If you are like me in pain 24/7 then ANY activity is painful. This is how the CAB people told me. Good luck and best wishes

Hi there you must be felling so unsure of things right now and need some security as like me when things are constantly worsening that's bad enough but although I don't have any advice regarding the wording I would suggest you contact your local cab or look up mybenifitclaim.com hope that will help you some. fibro hug

there are certain words that need to be put down on ur forms.... here are a few that I can remember and some examples are as follows..... severe, extreme, constant, consistent, frequently ..... examples:

I am in constant pain.....I have severe problems with my day to day activities, I constantly forget things, I am extremely tired all the time, u get the gist, these are just examples and depends if these words do actually fit ur feelings, but they need to be used and repeated often, hope this helps xx

I get dla high rate for both, although I do have two bulging discs in my neck and back, copd, cfs ,fibro and ibs.

You need to make sure you include the words, repeatedly, safely, reliably. If you cannot do any of the activities, repeatedly, safely and reliably, then it counts as not being able to do that activity.

I failed my ATOS because they filled in boxes that are biased to work but take no or little notice to you problems.

I best way you should answer your bad days not your good. I was waiting for a heart procedure that was not taken into my claim( Which Failed). They more or less ordered me to squat which I tried but suffered for a week after. I have Pulmonary Fibrosis, Pleurisy, Paralysed Diaphragm, Heart condition and arthritis in my Feet,Knees,Hip,Neck,Shoulder and 3 collapsed vertebra which have now turned arthritic. They gave me 6 points as they did agree I was not able to walk far but no consideration to the fact that my nearest bus stop is over a mile away. Which is impossible to walk that far in one go. Once the cold weather comes I will be gasping for breath within 3 steps of leaving my house.

ATOS said I was "Fit For Work" My tribunal Appeal was found in my favour :)

Be Well

just tell the truth how your disability affect s you give a full list from when you get up till you go to bed give then a list of your meds if any

Ive did this in the past for ESA and have failed. As I suffer from a disability which has gotten worse due to years of severe problems and when I was asked questions like can you make dinner, always assume what tasks you do during making dinner like having to bend over to get food or standing for multiple small periods of time, this adds up in their eyes and they will mark down he is fine for making food even though you may struggle managing to carry anything. Best way is to just over react your problems. You potentially aren't lying about anything you are just emphasising on every action.

One of the better Guides to ESA on the internet is here. It is free to access

The Benefits and Work Guides are the best though but you would have to pay for those
