So sad!!!!!!

Today as been the worst😫my mom went to hospital with stomach pains, within 5 minutes of me getting there I was told she's got cancer and is now in surgery 😞been waiting 3 hours now, you just never know wats around the corner, sorry just wanted to say

So sorry to hear your difficult news and my hope and prayers are with you, but you’re probably wondering how you’re going to cope. You’re fighting against the odds here, so please don’t try and be strong thinking you can sort everything out. Remember this will take it out of you on a major scale, so don’t be afraid to seek professional help. The hospital will, I am certain be taking good care of your mum, but your mum, bless her, being unwell doesn’t mean you are going to automatically get better yourself. Feel deeply for you Punta as I went through the same with my Mum years back.

It’s such a shock to the system with all the emotions that arise in such a situation.

I hope she will soon be on the road to recovery.

Meanwhile, it will be super important for you to ensure you keep up the basics such as regular eating, top up with with a multivitamin and mineral supplement, keep hydrated and pace yourself with regular rest breaks and gentle walks, even if you don’t feel like it.

I hope you have family or friends you can share the worry with for support?

Punta, I’m sorry you are going through this. It must have been devastating for you, not just finding out about mum but the worry and the waiting to hear positive news from the health professionals. Try as best you can to stay calm . As you will know, any stress, anxiety will exacerbate your own pain… remember to breathe in threw your nose to the count of four and out through your mouth for seven.

Best wishes to your mum and you xx PS I know about the not knowing what's round the corner because of my own experience with large brain aneurysm and later on stroke and my lovely fiancé took himself to A&E with stomach pain a few years ago and was found to have an advanced bowel cancer. Big surgery and eventually supposed to be clear then it came back again. Big surgery again, but thankfully, fingers crossed, touch wood etc all clear now. Fingers crossed for your mum.

I felt your sadness when I read what had happened. Your mum having an operation is good news, they wouldn't operate unless they were sure it would be beneficial. My dear friend had a tumour, I thought I was going to lose him, they wouldn't operate until he had chemotherapy. I would just like to say a massive thank you to everyone for your support, words can't say how much it as meant to me.There is an update about my mom, she had a tumour removed and some of her small intestines.

Today she is sitting up eating jelly......

My mom is such a strong person I'm so proud of her 💗
