Mobility scooter

Hi, I am now finding it difficult to get about. I get severe cramp in my thighs and my stomach muscles tighten up when I walk any more than a few yards. I am thinking about getting a mobility scooter, preferably a lightweight folding one. Has anyone tried using these and how have you gotten on with it.

I haven't tried a lightweight one but if I hadn't had someone to help with a regular one I wouldn't be able to manage on my own

Hello,Dor 1, I had a mobility scooter from mobility,I didn't like that very much, It was quite big but felt flimsy,Swapped for the power chair, felt very open and vunreble(sorry cant spell)So went without and kept a lookout on ebay, The scooter my Hubby had had a weight limit lower than my chunky butt 😪

Not very long when we found a company who swapped the scooter for another much better and the weight limit was good,Just had to pay the amount we agreed,I use my power chair indoors and the scooter out,

Hope you find the right one for you

Take care

I used one for many weeks after surgery. It was a godsend. They can be a little hard to maneuver in tight spaces so look for one with a tight turning radius. I still use mine at night to avoid putting on a walking boot in the middle of the night 😁
