Have you been assessed for myofascial trigger points (TrPs) by someone trained in this? TrPs in your arms and shoulders can cause muscle weakness, burning or shooting pains and pins-and-needles.

My pains are mostly on my left side, and affect my neck, shoulder, arm, hand and thumb very badly. I have lost my independence because i now can't drive due to the pain, and there are many other things I can't do any more. Even though I'm right-handed, it's surprising to realise how much I rely on my left hand to do certain things!

Right now, my hair desperately needs washing but I can't hold my arms up long enough to do it in the shower, and my back and ribs hurt too much to bend over the bath or sink, so I'm stuffed and feel really yuck! My husband is working night shifts at the moment and sleeping through the day, so i'll just have to wait for him to finish his shifts and get him to come into the shower with me to wash my hair!

Yes, I too have arm, wrist and finger pain. When present it is very debilitating and you just don't know what to do with them. I am resisting injections as I believe long term use is more damaging.

Hi yes i went to doctor as i was losing my grip amd my strenghth was awful also they were so cold and he said it was carpal tunnel which is another delight of fibro and i went to the local physio dept at hospital and was given splints and they are really good and help a bit . they are ok in winter when you wear jumpers and stuff but will look awful in summer will have awful tan line lol good luck love and soft hugs Diddle xx

Yes i have wrist and arm pain most of the time. In fingers too. I wear wrist splints which help alot. I cant open doors especialy car doors without them on. I get best releaf soaking in warm water. Keeping warm and gentle physio reguar helps me. I do physio at home. But complete rest wen i have a flare up. Take care x
