Really bad head pain.

I've had a terrible pain in my head since last night. Bit like a migraine, tried Tramadol & Ibuprofen but nothing is touching it. All I've wanted to do is sleep.

hello, sorry to hear this. have you tried running a warm shower on the back of your neck? hope you get some sleep at some stage, maybe a slightly scented bath xx

i have TMJ at the moment so in agony have taken so many painkillers don't know if i'll wake up!

Hello Glochessum, I am so sorry to hear about your head pain. If you have taken the recommended doses of painkillers and the pain still is the same and this is unusual for you, it would be prudent to have this checked out by your GP. If you cannot get to the surgery because of the pain, I would personally suggest calling a Doctor out to visit you.

It's always best to get unusual symptoms and pains checked out to rule out other causes and of course to keep us as well as possible.

Please let us know how you get on. Take care and I really hope your pain eases soon.

If I go to the doctors I'd only get fobbed off with it's all to do with the fibro excuse, so what's the point. Have tried co-codomol for it today and that seems to work better than the Tramodol.

I personally don't think you can take any chances with head pains, it's always best to get these checked out to rule out any other cause.

Ask to see another GP at your surgery if this is possible, you are entitled to a second opinion.

It would be worth mentioning this head pain to your GP as they should be aware of any changes to your health other than the norm especially something like this in case you need referrals, tests or specific treatment.

Please let us know how you get on, wishing you all the best.

Turned out I'd contracted a nasty virus that affected my middle ear. My daughter has had it too. It's taken two weeks for it to go but feeling much better now. :)
