Hi and a warm welcome to the forums. You can find general information on fibromyalgia at our website fmauk.org and our patient information booklets at fmauk.org/publications
You say you are not diagnosed but know its fibro - have you had other possible causes for your symptoms ruled out?
Are you on any medications for pain? Medication may help to take the edge of the pain, even if it doesn't take it away completely. Other things which can help are pacing, exercise /activity, heat or cold, mindfulness, meditation, distraction, holistic therapies etc
Hello this been ' going on years now different symptoms, but the brain fog always there and worse if I don't meditate, there's nothing else it can be, all my symptoms match, the last 2 weeks tho the nerve pain symptoms have picked up, and trouble sleeping, I am convi' ced it it is this but will go back doctors
Hello , it must be very hard working and being in pain but when you can get in see your doctor, keep notes of whatβs happening, how long it s been going on , and symptoms that really are painful affecting your daily living, if you can start too get help sooner rather than later, I hope you get through the course amd let us know how things progress for you xx
There can be other causes for your symptoms. I WAS diagnose with fibro, but it turned out that the symptoms were thyroid related. After my lacking thyroid hormones were replaced I was a lot better. Get yourself a KNOWLEDGEABLE gp who excludes all other possible causes and then take it from there. That would be my suggestion.
Hi mine ain't thyroid buddy, cognitive, trouble swallowing, tingling numbness, pricks, zaps, burning sensation, fatigue, all fibro symptoms which go with my ddd in c6c7 c7c8
Good, then you have one thing already excluded and you know for sure you don't have to look at that option anymore. And since there is no doubt that it is fibro, the way is open to focus on that. I wish you all the best. I'm sure this wonderful group will have many suggestions on how to navigate this. Pain, fatigue and brain fog are such a drain on everything that makes life enjoyable.
