My worst continuous flare up lasted about 6 months... My symptoms get worse over autumn /winter months - but that's my normal pattern so I don't really class that as a flare up

Hi Fibrofog, I have given up, I’m like that every second of the day. This is Fibro, it’s not messing with us

Stay cool x

I can cope with the pain to a certain extent. It's the fatigue and the fibro fog I can't stand

It's scary when you have done something and have no recollection at all!

I don't have flares of fibro, my pain fluctuates day by day but stays within the same band constantly.

Sorry to hear that xx

To be honest I think it makes life easier. I have other conditions, like chronic migraines, that do have flares and the unpredictability of them makes planning difficult and having to cancel things, letting people down etc

Considering how much supps & self-treatments I have every day I'd say I've been in a continual flare since Dec19. Or if a 'flare' means it changes relative to the rest I could call that a continual bush blaze, plus flares are regularly triggered on top of that. The worst having been by meds and doc treatments, but also some too long or too repeated events of a few hours can lead to flares of up to many weeks.

I can identify almost all, some in hindsight with the help of my 'diary' (blog).

High temperature makes me more sensitive to pain for sure. I hide indoors where we use AC. I notice a little bit of time gardening tires me out easily though.

Sorry to hear that. I refuse to step out onto that heat, don't mind popping to the shop first thing and that's been it. Been just laying mostly xx

Oh yes! sometimes bits of me, such as my legs are so filled, that I would love to be able to detach them and hang them up somewhere to drain! ;)

The heat makes me logy and sluggish, unable to concentrate or , indeed, do anything worthwhile. Makes it difficult to go out as well. Was hanging some washing the other day for about ten or fifteen minutes with the sun on my back. A few hours later I realised my neck was badly sunburned! Still stiff and hot three days later!

The Fibrofog gets worse as the heat rises, so I end up doing stupid things like adding wrong ingredients to cooking, (I have been guilty of Couscous in cups of tea, for example.)

I ache so badly that I am totally uncomfortable for more than a few minutes in any position, so I have to get up. move around and work in a different position for awhile. the onset of Osteo Arthritis doesn't help either!

Ok, Moan over!

cheers, Midori

Oh bless you. I'm with you on the legs. And I added curry powder into a carrot cake! Xx

Yeah, I totally get & have that. I've found one position in the daytime that works best, esp. if I'm distracted by typing etc. And at night I actually need the sleep breaks I have anyway to move to prevent a backlash in the morning.... 😜
