Fibromyalgia. New symptoms

A new symptom for me is. My index finger and thumb have start vibrating /pulsing really fast while asleep. Normally I can tell what pain I get and what I ve done to get that ache.

I ve had Fibro since I was 2 after a double ear operation and weeks in and out of hospital. It’s only been the last ten years that I gave up all meds ( except dissolvable paracetamol) that I ve come to terms with it.

Brain fog

Cramps

Aches

Bipolar

Insomnia

Exhaustion

Sickness (from constant adrenaline leak)

Hands/ feet swell

Eye focus

Cold Sweats

Old injury nerve misfires

These are what I have now off meds , when I was on 12 tablets I had a lot more issues. IBS, ulcers, depression, brain blanking / super fog, bed ridden, unable to work, and more .

Hi there, welcome to the group. It sounds like you may need to have a word with your GP.

Like you said this with your fingers is a new thing for you. I always say if in doubt get it checked out. Best to be on the safe side. If its a new problem it could be a new issue even if others have a similar problem to you.

GP’s. Lol. I ve had more tests, electric shocks, and medication from specialists, GP’s ect. I m done with them. I trust people’s advice who have the same.

So was just informing others of my symptoms to help them. .

Thanks

I get vibrating in my groin, it’s a strange sensation. I have a lot of symptoms that you have and only those who have Fibro know the pain and misery that it causes. Take care and stay safe x

Someone else that has had Fibro since a child. I had a major operation when I was 5 to repair a birth defect. Yup I've had Fibro since then. I don't really remember but my sister says I have. I became a professional singer when I was 16 and the adrenalin kept me sane and mostly pain free. Now I'm 73 and I've had numerous flare ups but keep fighting girl. Look on line, find what has worked for others and try them. Try to get off pharmacuticals as much as you can and keep going. You will make it and have a good life, honestly.

I have the exact same thing. As I reply using my Tablet I'm laying down with it on my chest and holding it in place with my left index finger on the rear, top left, my thumb half way down on the front. Do both hands hurt? No. Only the left. coincidental? Doubt it. So I ordered a mini stand to relieve the pressure on the left thumb and index finger.

You have to remember that using your hands normally means your using arms shoulders chest neck muscles. If I sit with my hands in front of me at chest level. Then the nerves in my neck will tingle. Making the little fingers go numb. This is natural damage but Fibro turns up the volume. So if you get any kind of pain tingle or numbness then move around stretch and see if it goes away. If not. Then you probley have a bit more damage and should get it investigated. I don’t recommend any GP’s. For this as they know as much as you. And probley still think Fibro is in your head.

🥴😂😁

Hi - my right hand/arm often vibrates/shakes for a minute when I'm about to have or am having a focal seizure. These are due to cortex in my speech centre, so it means my brain & speech goes a bit wonky - aphasia: slurred speech, wrong words or can't talk, sometimes can't think properly or just weirdly. Like seizures, or just "starting" etc., this can happen before or after sleep or at daytime, whether caused by triggers or not... Don't think that'll help, just sayin'... :-)

Ooh. I get that. Thought it was just me being special.. never thought it was connected. I put it down to Fibro fog. Sometimes I find myself standing / thinking about nothing for hours. Stalled. I called it.
