I think if you search pip-walking-through-pain-not-walking-acceptable-standard you'll find what you need. It's a tribunal decision.

As for filling the form in one thing that you might find helps is not to fill in the form itself for the additional information. I typed mine up. It didn't always make much sense so I was able to change bits an move them around. I started with a list of examples of how I've been affected just as headings so I had a plan to work to and then went through it filling in each example so I didn't have to think and type too long in one go. You can just put "See page xx of attached sheets" in the additional information box on the form. If you do decide to do this you should put your name and NI number on the top of each additional sheet and put "Page xx of xx" so that they know how many sheets there should be in case any go missing.

Also remember that you know how you're affected but they might not believe you. Try to get evidence from your GP or other people that you see or family/friends that provide you with support. The more evidence the better. You don't want it to just be your word against theirs.

I posted mine today yesterday and got a tex to say received I just basically told the truth but I did have a lot of hospital and docters letters regarding my conditions As for walking I can't walk far anyway without rest I'm sure you will get a lot of help with this from other members on the Foram

If u can walk more than 20 metres I think ur not entitled I had to go slow to her room making her impatient, first off going to reception I sat down twice cos shattered n in pain, found out later they video u start to finish, any adaptions photograph them get friends to write statements how it affects you if you can get your doctor to write you a letter that's great as they don't go to your doctor like stated all evidence is down to you, fightback4justice on Facebook are invaluable with hints tips etc on what to expect, main thing remember it's how it affects you not what your condition is, I.e u go in dead smart ponytail high heels n handbag with paperwork in you won't get it as you tied your hair up easily you walk in high heels you could open easily and carry a bag an sort through paperwork, that's all I noted as I had to go through a lot to get basic on both on pip, it's not given easily, hope this advice helps, basically the more proof you give the better plus examples like if you need help bathing dressing things like that

Hi my brain "CRASHES"when these forms thump on the doormat. So I enlist a local charity which has experienced advisors to fill form in with you....

Look up for local groups that can help....it does work got standard care and advanced mobility.

If things change care wise, can go back to make extra claim for further deterioration in my condition.

Good luck

Special hugs for you

I can't walk the 20meters without going through the pain barrier and have trouble with kerbs was asked to walk from my chair to the door and back 12 steps in all and get two extra point I now have 10 points for mobility as they said I could walk 50 meters
