Anybody been put on venoflaxin for anxiety and does it help with fibromyalgia to.. alls I want do is sleep does it get better or do you just want sleep all time taking this med .. thanks

Hi I am on venloflaxin twice a day I find that it helps me a little but am on other meds too for fibromyalgia x

Hi thanks for replying.. I was on duloxatine but had side effects .. I don’t no what to have in regards to the pain I’m in as need see dr what other pain relief do u have thanks .. as I’m in a lot of pain .

I am on 50mg of Amitriptyline but they start you off on 10mg first and baclofen I also have Lignocaine Infusions done by my fibromyalgia Specialist and pregabalin I'm on other meds for different conditions though x

Best to make a appt with your GP ask to be referred to a fibromyalgia consultant or pain management

I really hope you get sorted somehow so at least you can maybe get some sort of relief xxxx

Thanks .. yes that’s it .. iv been diagnosed with fibromyalgia 8 months ago tried amtripline duloxatine naproxen I had side effects with them .. so I’m just taking ibuprofen now but when they wear of pains really bad .. an thought venlofaxin helps with pain only been on it a week an feel tired all time but in loads pain .. thanks for getting back to me I’ll ring drs early tomorrow morning.. sending hugs .

You're welcome although fibro can make you extremely tired it's part of it unfortunately Ask Dr about magnesium cream tablets etc If I remember lol I will send you a pic of what I have got off Amazon xxHope you get seen by your dr sending hugs and love your way xx

Hi thank you for gettin back to me Iv not phoned dr just yet but goin ring in morning had a few stuff to do .. I’ll ask the dr about magnesium.. I’ll stick with me new med see how I get on .. I’m tired all the time didn’t no somet could take it out of u like that the way fibromyalgia does .. I feel exhausted everyday an trying my best to help it .. love to you to Thankyou .. ☺️

Forgot I use a tens machine which is good when I'm in a lot of pain also helps with my arthritis xx

I’ve taken Venlafaxine for 25 years along with Nortriptalyne and doctors tried to replace it with Duloxatine but I was in so much pain I couldn’t walk and I was crying so much so they put me back on it it definitely helps with my pain I’ve been on 75mg for years but recently my anxiety went through roof so they’ve doubled it and it’s done the job and calmed me right down but I remember it made me very very tired but after four weeks it was like someone turning a light on stick with it n youl come good 🙏

Hi Anna, I have been taking Velafaxine for several years for anxiety and depression and it hasn’t made me feel sleepy, my dose has just been increased last Friday so I now take 150mg twice a day. Amitriptyline made me sleepy, slept really well but couldn’t wake up properly and then had urinary retention problems so stopped it- with doctors advice. I hope it helps you, take care x

That’s what dr put me on twice a day feel realy sleepy .. as Fibro makes u sleepy anyway but I can’t keep my eyes open most the time since been on them .. but I’ll stick with them see how I go but I need some pain relief as in a lot of pain to .. just wounderd if they help with pain to .. love and hugs
