I am sitting on the sofa at 2.30am wondering if I am getting any sleep tonight, I had a 10 minute cat nap at about 6.30pm and guess that was my lot. Anyone any ideas on what I can do?
I'm at my partners flat so don't want to disturb his neighbours or anything, my car is at home so I can't leave and as he also has Fibro there's no way I am disturbing him - he is sleeping π΄
Tv off as nothing worth watching and we have different tastes in DVDs.
My ideas are to go and do some baking, if he has anything in or play games on my iPad, nothing to help me sleep.
What does everyone else do in the wee sma hours (early morning) when you can't sleep?
I hope everyone is having the best night sleep they possibly can and leaves you all well rested xx

I'm watching catch up tv! Just watched the jungle and now on potters programme. Hopefully my camomile tea and handful of almonds will make me sleepy soon! Tried counting sheep, lying still, relaxation techniques but given up and here I am! Hope I sleep soon or tomorrow will be a washout. Hope you do too! Jax π€π΄π€π΄π€π΄
Many thanks but doubt it, just baked some scones (biscuits) so going to have one with coffee in a minute. Sorry but don't like the jungle programme with so called celebrities in it, better watching paint dry.
I dont like the jungle programme either by the way which is why i thought it might have sent me to sleep. Too much excitement in the potters programme. Here i am .. 6am and not a wink slept! Hope your scone was good! Wish i could have one but following stone age diet and they're banned . More's the pity! Take care and hope youve managed some shut eye! Jax xx
Do make yourself a glass of warm milk before you go to bed....it must be warm. Add a tot of brandy and a LITTLE sugar to it if you can.....believe me it works if you can't sleep. Try it. ππππππ€π€π€π€. Maddimegan31.
Thanks Telynores.....I am a great believer in using honey especially with a turmeric drink in milk....must have the teaspoon of honey...taken reguarly is good for arthritus as it is an antiinflammatory. πππ. Maddimegan31.

I know - just havent got to that stage yet i have cut out all grains atm and trying to figure out which ones i can tolerate! Cant wait for that day! Going to try making my own jam with stevia too! Yum Roll on that day! πͺπͺπͺ
I found an online free food tolerance test and found out what grains, pulses, meats and fruit & veg I couldn't tolerate to assist with weight loss. Lots of things I like on the list. I just can't find the offer again on the Internet or I'd share the link on here x
Hi there. Thank you - i will have a wee look for it online. I have had biometrics food intolerance done and that identified wheat, wholegrain and dairy so have cut out them but im sure rice is a problem too so taking things slowly - i would really like to eat normally but am kind of trying hard to stick to protein and veg atm and keep carbs to veg. I do feel a slight benefit in that i dont fall asleep directly after eating bit still extremely fatigued and mostly housebound/bedbound atm. Energy used up making meals for family and housework - not much else. Something better start working soon. Sleep i know is key but what is it when it comes to bedtime? I end up like a meerkat and have wide awake eyes and brain. Body still tired though. Wish i could get this sorted as it is really getting me down - but you guys will know that only too well xx
Please excuse me if you are great on computers, if not, you may not realise you can trace every page you have looked at in your FireFox or Google Chrome 'History'. In FireFox click on the 3 horizontal bars near the top and extreme right, then click on 'History' and if you know the date you saw the tolerance test (the rough time of the day will help also) you can pinpoint the page easily. As long as you have not deleted your history you will be able to find what you are looking for even if you don't know the date, it is still find-able but will just take longer searching the list. Sorry, cannot remember how the 'History' is found in 'Chrome'. Apology again if you already know this but it may be helpful to others who are not aware. Regards. Barrie
That's worth a try, unfortunately the other replies suggest warm milk I can't stomach it other than hot chocolate and will try that tonight. Strange how tired I am during the day but wide awake at night - never a happy medium x
Thanks again! Coconut Oil and Ghee are my new friends. Take a spoonful of coconut oil on my daily banana! I'm actually growing to like it! Must try the Chinese leaf sandwich though... Sounds yum! Jax xx
Hello Scottish-piglet, the shortage of sleep is a very big problem for so many members,,
Have you got the chance to snuggle up on the sofa, with a fleece blanket, big thick but comfy cushions, even pillows,,a mug of hot chocolate or cocoa,,,and if he has sky, the christmas channels, or pack your own dvd's and watch them,,,with headphones on to keep the sound low. It may help you even to relax more and even nod off without you realising it,
Sleep is a very tricky body requirement, and can be elusive, but there are many ways of fooling it, cosy and comfy, a book,,,relax ,,,,then the zzzz might arrive,,,,,, or what about valerian tea bags?,,,they may help you,,,,,
Well I hope I might have given an idea, or made you go asleep, ttfn from Karen.
Thanks for the reply, eventually had an hour after I got into bed about 4am. Your suggestion is what I try at home and it worked - unfortunately it was snow showers here and so I snuggled down on the sofa, fell asleep about 9pm went through to bed an hour later and woke up properly at 1.30am. At least I have had some sleep which is always a blessing.
Wish everyone a restful, sleep filled, pain free night. I discovered the only time I get some pain relief is when I'm in sleeping that's why it's so precious to us all.
