I’ve had an under active thyroid for many years; inflammatory arthritis came along 9-10 years ago; followed by fibro about 5 years ago. Recent addition is high cholesterol 🤦♀️🤦♀️. I don’t want statins so am trying dietary & lifestyle changes; I have cut out biscuits, cakes, etc. I’ve started to slowly lose a little bit of weight, but a big change is the reduction in my pain levels. Drugs are keeping the arthritis stable. So now I’m wondering if thyroid, fibro & cholesterol are all inter connected 🤷♀️🤷♀️.

Just wondering……..
Hi Similar to yourself I’ve had hypothyroidism for more than 27 years, osteoarthritis for last 7 years and I think my fibromyalgia came after having surgery for total hip replacement 4 years ago. I also have endometriosis and there are connections across. I’m no longer working due to my health and have implemented lots of self help and pain management, mindfulness , anti inflammatory diet etc it’s very slow progress but by not working I have time to try to manage my conditions better. I’m still continuing to research more info about the connections across these conditions also.
Interesting post ,thank you.
They can be sometimes. What are your blood tests showing? High cholesterol often corrects itself when optimal with thyroxine dose. Also, check D, B12, ferritin and folate.
