Gosh, it sounds like your really going through it, so well done for reaching out and sharing. Every day is different, but remember the good days and work out what can work for you. There are days for me I just can't cope with noise, even the dogs walking on the wooden floor, too many people talking. Those are the days I excuse myself from the world and retreat to my quiet space. I'm lucky my family recognise why I need to do this, soon enough I'll be back. Be kind to yourself and never be afraid to ask for support. I hope you have a lovely christmas.

Hi, sorry your having to deal with so much x Quick question: do you know that Gabapentin makes you crave sugary foods etc …. Just when you mentioned possibly type 2 diabetes?

Does the Gabapentin really work for you? I put on a ton of weight on them and trialled lowering dose ( with my doc) to see if it made a huge difference and in the end it didn’t so I have came off them! Some good news is that we know type 2 diabetes can be reversed… my father is living proof! Kicked that and stage 4 cancer in the butt!

The morphine sounds a lot… do you have to take it regularly? Can they not give you the patches so your body gets a steady dose over the day? I had to swap to slow release tramadol taking one every 12hrs ( and top up with cocodamol if needed). I found that if I didn’t take my painkillers every 4-6hrs my pain and mood was fluctuating and making me feel miserable, so maybe worth asking about something like the patches and def question the effectiveness of Gabapentin. I take around 16-30 tablets a day and due to fibro fog I actually need to use a pill box ….. thank goodness it’s only morning and night I take them! I feel like my grandma lol xx I say to my doc all the time that I hate taking tablets but to be honest there isn’t much else they can do xx

I’ve really noticed winter weather has worsened my pain but I’m in cold damp Scotland lol…. The hot summer did give me some pain relief though!

Maybe I should spend winters in the sun! Any excuse lol… hope you get tablets sorted and decent pain management! Do not be afraid to ask questions xx

Have a lovely Christmas & A Happy New Year! Xx
