Fibromyalgia and health problems

Hello everyone, I’m fairly new here. I have a lot of health problems. Raynauds syndrome, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis in my thumb joints and knees, and osteopenia in my hips (forerunner of osteoporosis).

I was wondering if anyone has tried a specific diet such as vegetarian or vegan or avoiding anything in particular. I’m quite healthy despite my problems. I too had low Vit D which the doctor gave me high dose vit D supplements.

Any comments would be welcome

Hello Melb263, yes I’ve just started taking glucosamine and chondroitin supplements, no improvement noticed as yet, but suppose it takes some time.

Yes I do have quite a bit of bone pain as well as fibromyalgia soft tissue and muscle pain too.

Yes i have the same hun and yes unfortunately these things need time to get into your system well thats what ive experienced anyway, i find natural ginger hot teas are really good for all kinds of pain they are a natural anti inflammatory and will get to work quicker should try them helps with nausia too when fatigued coz settles tummy i also take magnesium supplement and magnesium flakes baths or epsom salt baths magnesium a natural muscle relaxer so being relaxed helps releive pain too and find a balance between rest and activity coz bones seize up an this contributes to pain as u prob know well this what i do could help you too

I tried the Pukka 3 ginger and galangal tea, I did find that helpful. I also have some magnesium salts for the bath too! Looks like I’m doing everything right!

Doctor did give me naproxen for pain and gabapentin, haven’t taken any of the latter though as frightened of the side effects!

in reply to Nessie87

Yes you are. I use natural ginger cut it to small strips and add to boiled water, sometimes with honey honeys good for many things also turmerics good for arthritis can be used in many ways, teas supplements food etc, i have gabapentin an naproxen i find the gabas side effects wear off after a couple weeks but weight gain on them put me off naproxens ok but it tends to make me feel fatigued after a while but that could be just me i dont know but decided to ween away from all my meds and try the natural alternatives so i researched everything the doc gave me, well we need to keep bones an muscles warm to i also do yoga on my good days cant do it like i used too speshly in winter☹️
