Hello. Swimming is great excercise I am actually considering structured hydrotherapy sessions. you say you are pregnant, are you supposed to be taking sleeping medications whilst expecting a baby?
Congrats hun on the baby to be- about swimming- HMMM>>> maybe ask about some gentle hydrotherapy if you have fibro, the cold water in a swimming pool isnt nice for fibro sufferers but the warm 32 degrees water in a hydro pool is heaven- you could maybe opt for a pool delivery!
Hi there Hayley95 I am sure you are aware you can lock your posts for privacy reasons I just thought I would remind you in case it slipped your mind This is the link to show you how to lock it if you wish to.
You could try phoning your local pool, enquire about the pool temperature and ask if they have any prenatal group sessions. I don't think any vigorous swimming goes well with fibro and late pregnancy. You don't want your birthing pool to be the actual pool ! Only joking.
If you can get to a pool that's warm enough some gentle swimming annd floating around could be very relaxing for you and your baby.

When I could, I used to love swimming. I built up really slowly starting with literally a width of the baby pool and over the months could eventually do 12 lengths of the baby pool. I found the warmer water better for my muscles. i seized up in the cooler water of the big pool. I was lucky in that my Gym also had a Hydrotherapy pool which had jets so you could blast the aches and pains away with warm water. Bliss!. A targeted Hydrotherapy session might also benefit you if you want to exercise in the water. My kids are all adults but I did-Pre Fibro- go to Ante natal Aqua aerobics which I think you may find too strenuous if they still do these things?
Just take it at your own pace. Dont let those whizzing up and down like Olympic swimmers make you feel bad and enjoy it! I really wish I could go back and swim again but...
Just had my first swimming session today and I am shattered. Don’t know if it my fibromyalgia or my pregnancy doing it. Also I nearly passed out too when I got out any advice x
