Should I give anti fatigue socks a try?

accidentalglixch profile image

I get really bad foot pain on my heel, ball of my foot and the foot in general.

Also I get this pain in my calf that feels like I've pulled a muscle constantly.

During my time of the month or / and a flare up, I get excruciating sharp pains on my leg.

Sometimes it's tingly and sometimes it's a sore, nagging, throwing pain that feels a little warm like it's burning up but my skin is cold.

I am buying a foot bath as I do experience fungal infections and ingrown toenails frequently but hopefully that would help too?

Hopefully!!!

Try soaking your feet in Epsom salts, and trim your tonails when they are soft, right after a bath.

It's counter-intuitive, but drinking extra water during your time of the month can help reduce swelling.

Hi i was getting pains similar to you, plus feeling tired all the time it turned out i was deficient in vitamin D. A week after taking the vitamin D tablets the pains were so much better, maybe its the same for you i would see your doctor and ask for a blood test, hope your feeling better soon 🙂

I find my compression socks and toe spacers help. They are not expensive so if you can afford them then they are worth trying.

Hello. I get pain in my feet every morning, like I'm trying to walk on them and they have pins and needles (although it isn't pins and needles!!). I also get either very cold or very hot feet and am constantly trying to cool them down but like you, it feels like they are boiling from the inside but my skin is cold. For the pain, I find that making sure the soles of your shoes are supportive/comfy is the best bet so investing in some good shoes/slippers seems to work best for me but I still have no idea how to cool my feet down!

I have hot feet too. They got especially bad at night and jumped too. I bought a JML chillmax gel pillow (supposed to be for your head) and put it under my feet. It has made a big difference, feet cool down and no longer jump so I can now get to sleep easier. Hope this helps.

Hi sorry your in so much pain it’s so horrible I have had the same trouble in my right foot for 7 months firstly in the heel then calf pain with burning around the side of my heel.

I have planta fasciitis its the muscle under the foot that runs from your toes to the heel.

I saw my GP he gave me a steroid injection in the heel it doesn’t all ways work my doctor was so horrible as always I haven’t seen him in 5 years he said don’t bother coming back if it doesn’t work he never offered any advice like book a physio appointment or see a foot specialist another doctor reffered me 2 plus years ago due to my ankle problems I had insoles made.

I would call your doctors you really need to see someone it could the same problem or something different good luck take care.

Big hugs Hel52 💐

If your doctor is so horrible, get a different one.

It’s not that simple for us we have to other practices are not taking new patients due to restrictions in pandemic and shortages of GPS.

Hi, I tried for the first time yesterday Plantar Fascitis socks, which are compression socks, as my pain had gone through the roof and I could barely walk even a few steps. OMG makes such a difference. Get the right size.

Sounds good a warm relaxing foot bath, have you seen a podiatrist for your feet ? as your problems keep reoccurring? I find massage on my calf’s helpful at the end of the day, enjoy the bath xx

There are good youtube videos for plantar fasciitis and similar foot pains. Used them the other day & helped well.
