Hi fellow warriors,

Could I ask if anyone has used these massage guns and if they’re any good. If so, have you any recommendations on which one to buy.

Thank you in advance

Well wishes to all, Jen x

Hi Jen, I used to visit a chiropractor regularly and they used guns like this on me. I'd say they're great in the hands of another person as they can be heavy and have some force to their use however I'd personally find it difficult to manipulate on myself. I just wouldn't be able to both target the right area and hold it in place for the right amount of time. If I had the money I'd still be going- if only for someone to pull my head!! Good luck!

Personally, there's nothing electronic which can beat the hands of a fully trained Masseur. I Trained in relaxation and Sports Massage in the early 90's ( I can no longer work in it, due to arthritis in my hands and wrists, unfortunately) and I took it as an add on to nursing.

In the hands of somebody knowlegeable the machines can be effective, but they can cause damage to underlying tissues if used incorrectly, or by a person who isn't fully conversant with the musculature of the body.

Cheers, Midori

Hi JenL76,

I've been using massage guns for the last 4 years and I wish I had known about them earlier. They've really made a difference to me! I also use a 4-way massage tool when I want to get to specific spots of the neck or the back.

As for the massage gun you have in the picture, I don't have any comments about it. I have one that's much simpler (just 2 heads) and I've kept it mostly because I can put it under my back while lying on the bed and self massage. If you have someone else to massage you, yours is probably better. PM me if you want me to send you a link to mine. I hope it helps you.

All the best

I have one. The downsides are the heaviness and the vibrating hurts my hand a little and it can be hard to get the right place by yourself in certain areas. My husband does it sometimes and it has helped a bit with my hip pain. To be honest though, it's something mostly forgotten about now.So would depend on you and your strength. I just got mine on amazon after looking at a few reviews.

Hi there, putting one of them near my painful and inflamed muscles would honestly have me in hostpital on oxygen 😲

That's where the masseur/se scores; they can tailor the treatment to the pain level of the client.

Try this mini one. It's a lot lighter also.

And also if you suffer from calf cramps this one is a godsend!
