Tiredness
I found the chronic fatigue / me clinic have helped me a lot. They have given me a lot of literature for family and work. The first appointment was a group one where partners went too. My partner came away with a lot better understanding of my condition. I then went on to one to one appointments which taught me how to pace myself and coping mechanisms when the pain is bad. All in all very useful.
Thank you good points. The problem with this condition no one can see what your going through with the tiredness.
Hi. I feel the same. I don't have any answers I'm afraid other than trying to sleep when you can (I would sleep all day if I could!!), eat a very healthy diet with lots of fresh vegetables, drink plenty of water, get outside for gentle walks or a bit of light gardening and try to do lots of things that you enjoy if you can. I find I'm most awake and in the least pain when I'm doing something I enjoy. Although I don't have answers, I have lots of sympathy as I currently feel shattered, as though I want to close my eyes and sleep for days....and I've only just got up!!! It's exhausting.
Thank you I will try the dietary side of things.this is all very new to me.i work all day so the drive home seam to take forever.i have fallen asleep at the traffic lights it's such a worri.it has changed my whole life I never thought I would end up like this once again thank you for your advise.
HI No problem, I have fallen asleep in business meetings before which is quite embarrassing but if you are falling asleep in the car, I would definitely recommend a visit to the doctor as that could be very dangerous. They may be able to do some blood checks and see if you are lacking any vitamins and minerals. I would do that asap as you don't want to be in a nasty accident. Best of luck.
Yes thank you my diagnosis started with low in vitamin d low so I had a 6 week cause of that but made no difference.so I went back to the doctor and I had a sleep monitor fitted.and I have to go into hospital on Wednesday for a sleep test.i must admit falling asleep when at the wheel was scarie I would like to know if fibromyalgia makes you this tyred?
I don't sleep well and feel like I have permanent jet lag so yes, it does seem to make you very tired. My kind colleagues kept throwing sweets at me in the meetings to try to keep me awake. It's very embarrassing and I hope I don't snore! 😂
I have to do a sleep study at the hospital this Wednesday they are going to record me so I a little worried about snoring and I hope I don't sleep walk 😃
Fibromyalgia definitely makes me crazy fatigued tired! I feel it come over me like a wave, like today sat on my sisters settee talking. She said she was just nipping out & I said I’d stay & keep her doggy company. As soon as she’d gone it was feet up & fast asleep 😴. My arms & legs been painful for no reason today & have had a very ‘heavy niggly frontal headache /head fog’ as well. That’s just from getting up/dressed & a visit to my sisters. I hate hate hate having this stupid syndrome! 😕
My word the tiredness is out of this world. You get head ache. I have bad head ache is this also part of fibro? Sometimes I feel I not with it .is this part of it as well as the pain their so much I don't know and in denial. It's so much to take in I have been telling the doctors for years now .I'm so relieved I'm not a hydrocondract.is their any answers to all this do symptoms get worse ?
Have you checked your thyroid levels?
Karen
Thank you .... Yes all my bloods came back fine .
Hi - tiredness is also a big problem for me. I had to get up 5-9x a night and my sleep was often not restorative. I am no supp nut at all, just willing to try everything to be able to do a bit more in life again. As my first 3-month-trials with the normal vitamins & minerals that are recommended didn't help at all, I didn't think there'd be anything in there for me.
But I am now having success for sleep taking 2x400mg magnesium malate, 4x290mg passiflora in the evening, 400mg GABA before bed and around 600mg GABA, 400mg glutamine, 200mg theanine in one of my sleep breaks, taurine in the daytime as "coffee" as it makes me more awake (altho it was meant to help sleep actually, but I ended up with 4h40 one night), the theanine balances sleep & wake out too. The later four are all amino acids, neurotransmitters which balance out serotonin and dopamine levels amongst other things. I have played around with the doses and this is the about the best for me so far. The body reacts quickly to them and with little side effects. My sleep is now deeper in longer stints and with shorter breaks.
Even better the GABA has improved 10 daytime symptoms like stiffness. In case you're interested you might like to check out an amino acid questionnaire and webpages like Trudy Scott's.
