Tiredness

Morning everyone, I have fibro and was diagnosed this year i am constantly tired I can’t get enough sleep. I have had all blood tests back and everything was normal. I work full time as a receptionist so my job is not physical, but I spend weekends sleeping and come Monday I still don’t feel great. I take 30mg if Duloxetine in the evenings. The first 2 weeks it gave me loads of energy and now I feel like I did before I starting taking duloxetine. I am feeling so down because of it all.

Hi Jeep2000, sorry you feel like this. Tiredness is one of the biggest symptoms of fibromyalgia. I suffer with it really badly, i had to give up work. I'm not suggesting you do that too but maybe think about reducing your hours. There is no magic cure for this just pace yourself and look after yourself.

Hi Golfer, thanks for replying. Unfortunately the company I work for won’t reduce hours it’s all or nothing and I can’t afford to give up work. It’s so hard 😢

Go back to your Dr sometimes when were prescribed something new we feel relief which in turn lessons our pain it may be that is what u felt in beginning of taking them and now the realization that they're not working as well as you thought, the Dr will understand, they see this a lot.hope this helped.best of luck &let us know which ever you do how u get on??.

Hi

Your job may not be physical but I expect its stressful

Having to get up at a set time when your working and coping with illness takes it toil

Did GP check vitamin levels as well

Its all about pacing I'm afraid and knowing your limits

Not easy I know

Learning to put yourself first is a hard thing to do

Hi Rose, thanks for the advice. I am still learning to pace myself and know my limits. Also putting yourself first is hard too. All my vitamin levels have been checked and they are all fine. I think it’s not over doing things and trying not to do too much all at once. I am someone that wants things done yesterday. I know not good. 🙄😙

Sorry you are feeling like this.. Its so tough isn't it! At the moment the tiredness is what's getting me! Pain isn't as bad apart from my knees and shoulder blades. I have a physical job and have gone from 14hrs to 7hrs for now.

I'm newly diagnosed along with hypermobility syndrome so still trying to find my way, doing research.

If you find anything that helps for tiredness/fatigue I'd love to know 😊.

Keep strong. Plenty of lovely supportive people on here to talk too.. ☕

Thanks jetblack1 it’s very tough and it’s very hard doing a physical job. I had a physical job before and changed to a desk job but if your tired nothing helps me except going to bed. I will let you know if I do discover anything that helps tiredness. Same goes for you too. You keep strong too. Take care 😌
