Hello

I hope your keeping as well as you can. I a, feeling so tired today and have been trying to sort out my new pip assessment form it is done and we have been advised to copy it for our own records. It has to be in by the 5th Febuary.

.So much has ch aged since I last had help filling the form I . When I last claimed I had problems walking as my right leg was dragging and my fibro and CFS was very bad as it is now. But since then I have now suffered a right side paralysis. And can't cut food make a drink etc and have a care package. I dk t k ow if having a care package effects making another claim for care... Has anyone else got care and claimed for the care in PIP.

Love Dianne

Hello Dianne

Your pic is gorgeous :)

I am so very sorry to have to ask you to take the pic down. The reason is that there are children in it. A pic just of you is fine.

Under Section 15b) of our Policies and Guidelines, pictures of minors are not allowed on the forum. I have given you below the link to our Guidelines, where you will be able to scroll down and read the full rules:

healthunlocked.com/fibromya...

If you wish to take the matter up further with Admin you are more than welcome.

Unfortunately the pic contravenes our Policies and Guidelines and that is the only reason that I need to ask you to remove the pic.

If you have any queries at all, please contact me and I will be more than happy to help you.

Wishing you wellness and peace

Thank you so much for your understanding. I will remove the pic for you but keep the post.

Of course you are proud of your grandchildren, and quite rightly so.

I am sorry to have had to ask you to take it down and am very grateful to you for being so co-operative. It is greatly appreciated.

Wishing you all the very best.

I have just been reminded by my husband I have done it before so my apologies I don't remember doing it with the fibro I think you forget so much.

Thank you for making this group so easy to talk to x

Please don't worry, and just as importantly, please do not let this stop you from contributing to the forum in future. Your presence on the forum is very valuable to the whole community.

I can't stress enough how much I appreciate your kind co-operation and understanding.

You are very welcome to put up a photo of yourself, or a pet, but I am sure you understand the reason why minors should not be posted.

The thing that worried me the most was that your post was not locked, which meant that anyone at all, on the whole open Internet could have easily accessed the photo.

Wishing you all the very best

Do claim for PIP that is what it is all about to give you the money to help pay for help and your help is your care package and I am sure because of your problems you have other expenses that an able bodied person would not have. That you have got worse can only hopefully act in your favour for getting the award. Good luck.x

I have had two ladies come and visit me from Olympia care group who arrange care packages. The ladies filled in the form with me and said they had a book from their training which shows them how ,any points are awarded for each section. They went through my completed form and said I had already exceeded the points for the enhanced rate.

The pip form is posted and I was advised to photo copy it first as I did the last one so I can compare any refusal with a new claim. My last form in October took 5 weeks to ask me for am assessment and I was in my wheel chair and he asked me to stand up on one leg? My right leg was not working then so I. Told he I couldn't and he said are you refusing, (I said NO but I can't do but if he would like me to try will he pick me up if I fall over he said NO)

This time I will be going with a right side paralysis so not sure what he is going to ask me to do. But will keep you updated.

Thank you for all your support

There is a website called benefits and work, you can buy a book from them on how to present you claim, avoid there tricks etc, the do a book for all benefits. It seems worth 20 pound as they cunningly failed me twice and stopped my esa ,and I'm genuinely unwell.

Sorry water bottle, I've just looked and its my mistake , you fo pay to use the site for one year and there is an 85 page downloadable guide to claiming these benefits, I've paid my 20 quid so when I'm up to it I will see if I spent well, twice I've been refused and scored no point despite being under pain clinic and mental health hospital , it's not on to people like us, I've worked and my partner works and we own a small flat but that seems to go against us, who is going to employ someone in chronic pain on meds like morphine and with possible cfs ? It beggars beleive and only makes our depression worse, it's not a thousand pond a week, it's minimal and wouldn't even cover a minor food shop. Sorry for the wrong info

Hi Waterbottle

Love the name by the way I would marry my hot water bottle if I could.

As Baddog says the Benefit and Works site do do guides but they are webbased. If you are a member (and there are quite often offers of reduced membership fees) you can access a Members Only Area where you can find these guides. Just a sample would be:-

84 page guide to PIP claims and medicals.

I've been awarded PIP, what else can I claim?

13 page guide to other benefits you may be able to claim if you are awarded PIP.

PIP diary extracts and templates

6 sample diaries and a diary template

Sample diaries for health conditions: Anxiety & depression; Arthritis & obesity; Chronic Fatigue Syndrome; Fibromyalgia; mobility problems and; Schizophrenia

PIP Sample medical report

Our own sample version of a PIP PA4 medical report form

They do them for ESA and some other benefits and also guides if you have to go to Tribunal. I will be the first to admit that I do not think I could have helped my OH win his Tribunal Hearing if I had not first read their guides. Even though I was an Information and Advice Officer and had filled in AA forms etc and was very experienced at my job ESA was very new then and I had not ever seen one of their forms as we dealt with the elderly so I was just as new to that particular form as the next person. Also representing someone at tribunal was never part of my job as it is quite a specialised area. The £18 I spent at the time was the best money I have ever spent.

I have a feeling that Fibromyalgia Action UK has access to some of these guides or at least parts of them so if you need more help it could be a good idea to ring up their Information Line and see whether they can help. If there are specific parts you have difficulty with I am sure between us all we could help you.

Just in answer to your question about being asked to do something that would be impossible and them trying to say you refused it it happened with me when claiming ESA. I explained why it would be difficult and she said "don't worry don't do it if it would cause you problems" then the sneaky ......... put it down that I had catergorically refused. If it happened again I would have a go and fall in a heap at their feet but in your present state I think it would be totally unrealistic of them to ask you. If they did tell them you wanted it recorded on your form why you could not carry out that action.

Fingers crossed for you.x
