PIP

I have endo (severely since I was 25, now 45) with vulvodynia and interstitial cystitus. Has anyone claimed PIP recently? I’ve never claimed before. Is it best to do the claim over the telephone or send off for the form?

Do I need to keep a diary? Do they write to your GP/ Consultant or do I need to get a letter first?

I’ve seen a recommendation for Fight4Justice - is it worthwhile using their services or just my local CAB?

Thanks!

Hi there, just as Hidden says, but remember it’s not your medical diagnoses that gets you points, but how they affect your day to day living.

Good luck.

Also, once you’ve completed your claim form, be sure to make a copy so you can refer to your answers later. If you don’t have access to a photocopier or scanner you can take photos on any smartphone or digital camera x

Hello, As you know PIP is not awarded on a diagnosis or illness or the amount of prescription drugs you are taking. PIP is awarded on your ability to preform the PIP descriptiors in a repeatable way safely and in a timely manner for 50 % of your life. When you receive the application form read it through before you attempt to fill in the form. Give as much information about what happens when you attempt or try to preform each descriptor. If you require more space then use additional paper putting your NI number and nsme6on each additional sheet and mark the questions you are writing about. Medical information required are listed in the application form. Upto hospital reports, diagnosis current list of health professionals who care for you ect.
