I have been suffering pain for months and been diagnosed with fibromyalgia today that's been triggered due to issues I assume from reading up with my teenager. Can I ask do you get flare ups due to issues like this ? And if it's flare ups how often should I expect them ?
Thank you

Some people have flares, others don't, I don't, I have constant pain but appears in different parts of my body every day, with different levels of severity.
I think stress and emotional issues can be triggers. I have RA and then was diagnosed with fibro after a close friend died very suddenly. It was after this happened that I started with it. Teenagers can be very challenging!
Mine flares up with stress. Selling our house last year was bad. Now we are in and settled its the best its been for 15 years. Went throgh hell and back in that time madw to feel like a hypochondriact. Only just shown the new gp my evidencebfor believing its fibro. She thinks its highly likely. It can really depend on what stresses you personally. Just cus some 1 else copes doesnt mean you can. I have gad many judge me. Big believer in walk in my shoes and people who matter dont mind, people who mind dont matter.. grant me the serenity to accept the things /people i can not change. Courage to change the things/ person that i can . And the wisdom to know the difference/ that person is me. pace yoyrself, and try to let go. Listen to your body. Good luck
Hi! I find that when dealing with teens there's a simple way to do it without having stress! I find that if you treat them like a friend and an adult things change! As this is what I have been doing and wow what a huge difference! All they want is to be heard and recognized as an adult! Even though they aren't yet! Don't let that get in the way! I've found that all the teens now call me mom and want to be at my house! But due to covid we can't do that! I've explained it to them and now they don't even fight with they're parents! I've told them what I do and now they're trying it, so far with success! I'm so glad as it was just a tactic I decided to try! Hope this helps! Your friend Country gal
