Sorry new problems

Healthy anxiety very common with fibromyalgia alone. Mix in a horrible death if someone close and it can multiply it. I had similar years ago now I lost a friend to cancer probs 15 years ago now.i found myself constantly checking for lumps and bumps.i had lost a friend a few years before also an I think it all hit me then I was only young at the time.i ended up having CBT. It helped for a while they explained that as we get older you get more lumps and bumps and quite a bit more than that but I'm just giving you the jist.i think everytime we loose someone we love or care about it brings our own mortality foremost to our minds.try to remind yourself of this you are not alone can be a real pain but it will subside with time.also try live your life as best you can.as your wasting your life worrying about things out of your control. Stick with it PMA all the way.hope this has helped a little bit its totally normal as long as it doesn't start to ruin your life then it's a problem and I would suggest CBT. Stay cool literally haha ,no jokes aside I wish u all the best lockdown will not be helping any of us if u need to talk am here.

Very true statement i worked with mental health for 17 years now i suffer with it along with fibromyalgia x

The fibro club is one no one wants to join but you’ll find lots of advice and support here. First, I’d suggest finding out as much as you can about the condition. Then go about finding what works for you.

Pain controlling meds should help, some have prescription meds, others ( like me) find they don’t tolerate those well and just have otc stuff. Be careful how much and what you take. A GP advised me to take aspirin and paracetamol. I didn’t realise long term aspirin use would cause stomach ulcers ( it did, and in about 6 months)

Read about “spoon theory” to help you learn pacing.

And find anything else that helps —— Epsom salts, heat, cold, a tens machine, weighted blankets, various gels, sprays and rubs. And if you can, get your vitamin levels checked and make sure they’re all optimal, not only just in range.

Don’t try to do all this at once!!!!! The general consensus seems to be we don’t get a lot of help from professionals so have to find what works for us but take it steady and pace yourself.

Ask any questions on here.
