Fibromyalgia and overwhelming feeling to have to stretch. And not normal stretching. I feel like I'm a Japanese water demon when I get these fits. Any ideas please let me know. I have other health issues too that it is something I need to ask because doctors haven't helped.

I find it important to keep moving. Gentle stretching little and often. Stop if it hurts is my motto. I feel more pain with the cold damp weather. Sitting too long results in more pain. 🙆♀️
Hi, I have just joined this group and your question is exactly what I do. I have pains most of the time but from early evening it gets worse and I feel I must stretch, over stretch until my body can t take it. I have a hospital appointment next week and will mention this, will let you know what is said. Shelley x
I find gentle stretching when I get out of bed in morning helps, early evening a soak in an Epsom salts/radox bath is a must for me , then I tend to stretch out gently on my comfy mattress, loads of pillows and relax the body with a good tv drama and try switch off to the pain. I agree with red maple keep moving but pacing in between your day for fibro does help even if it’s for 10 /15 minutes with a cuppa and getting comfortable.
I find gentle stretching can help hun. Overdoing it though can be bad and cause more pain even after instant relief. When we ache and pain comes over we will almost do anything for relief hence we get it wrong causing us more pain. Xx
