My physio told me he was referring me back to my haematology department (as they seem to be in charge of my care) because (he says) my compression fractures are due to the blood cancer. I have been in pain for five months and now will have to wait another month due to my appointment on 9th being cancelled. My GP has asked for a bone density test but I had one only 15 months ago. I found my medical notes online and I see that osteoporosis is suspected but the physio said it isn't that. I wrote a note to my GP but so far she hasn't contacted me about changing meds to something suitable for fractures of the spine and there has been no mention of seeing any other kind of specialist such as an orthopaedic or rheumatology specialist. Being on these painkillers is having a pretty poor effect on my digestive system; I'm bent over and have aged ten years. I phoned the hospital but there doesn't seem to be anyone in the haematology department. I left a message and wait. Waiting seems to be all any of us do these days. Partner angry with me for being in pain. Fed up. Seeing chiropractor on Tuesday against all advice. Any comments, anyone?
